I doubt it'll change the structure and tuning of the drivers. If it has already reached it's maximum bass potential, it can no longer provide any more bass or any tighter and faster, even if you feed it with tracks bloated by bass. It'll present the music the way it is able to. If you switch back to normal music, then it'll most probably sound just like it was bass wise (and overall). To make a more accurate assessment, listen to your IEM with your usual music, and burn it in with heavy bass music but DO NOT listen to it. So any change you hear will not be because you have conditioned to that particular type of sound.

Any bass enhancements would purely be coincidental, most probably because it hadn't reach its fullest potential before you treated it with bass heavy music.

not really sure on that, it still in an argument stage, some says yes some says no.
But from my personal experience, burn in does affect the sound a lot, but burn in different genre of music able to make the earphone sounded better in that, i wouldnt really go for that.

double flange able to expand the staging, extend the decay of the bass, not too sure on mid and treble.

GR02 sounded more warm compare with XP series.
V-sonic always product earphone sounds "Correct", you get detail suppose at here, balance in there etc...

But lacking fun is the draw back.

i normally call that type of pattern sounding "surgical", like a surgery, everything needs to be precise and exact, no more no less

CKM55 has the laid back of treble and bass, with excessive mid forward presentation, overall is has unique signature.

While XP series mostly focus on balance and linear effect, with aggressive and fast speed in overall presentation.

Hey guys, how does the sound quality of the beyerdynamic xp3 compare with the klipsch s3 or s4?
*
Comparable, Klipsch S3 has thinner and flatter on bottom end compare with XP, while Xp series is comparable/better then Klipsch S4.

Hi, Im currently using a cheap rm1++ dac ,i usually tune 75% of max volume for my hd668B, but for my xp3, the max volume still small , isit due to 98db low sensitivity? This issue even worst when put on Hippo foam which has longer "foam canal"...But hippo biscuit can give me sufficient volume when plug in xp3.

anybody can help solve this issue?..im newbie..thx

Added on October 30, 2012, 9:54 pm1)Im notice the sound is better when in low volume in Hippo biscuit compare to high volume. is this due to xp3 or biscuit factor?

2) for burn in, must use good dac? can use handphone? small kbps song can do?(no time download higher definition in short term)

hopefully audiophiles here can teach me...thx alot
*
Yea, low sensitivity offer you to tune out more volume compare with higher sensitivity, as the lower sens able to provide you less hiss and hump if you plug into bad source.

1) May i know how low or high? what is the mean of sound is better, is it when you on lounder, there is huge cracking or hissing sound? it might happen due to your music file source problem.

2) Any song and source will do =).

An amplifier should do the job of "increase volume level" (technically yes there are), and the most important part will be enhance sound quality.

If your source is good, they will enhance the good part and make them even more amazing.

If your source is bad, you will know what will they do...

depend on which phone and what music file source you are getting.

Hippo Biscuit is an audiophile player, if you really into great music portable music player, that is a good choice.
