QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Oct 15 2012, 07:29 AM) XP2 compared with XP3? If that's the case then probably it's a yes? I wouldn't say it has more bass but rather the focus on which part, XP3 has V shape sounding, while XP2 is much balanced so the amount of bass is slightly on the mid so you feels more bass, XP1 is exceptional case (bass all the way). Then I'll get the XP3 since I also listen to classical musicInstruments sounds stage is better at XP3, great at differentiate the instruments apart due to its detail nature, slightly analytical due to its housing sounding I guess, more "ting ting" than "ding ding". But because of this the mid sounds laid back, vocal song with lots of heavy instruments will pushes the vocal back but full instruments orchestra will definitely sound really nice. Thanks for the explaination |

I also heard a dot dot dot noise when the music ends but the file is still playing at almost all my songs (320kpbs or lower MP3, M4A)
So an amplifier is basically increasing the volume and some tones? Then what is the difference between a cheapo amplifier and an expensive one? XP3+Hippo Foam+Amplifier = Best sound heard for a non audiophile like me |

QUOTE(skycrawler @ Nov 9 2012, 07:49 PM) This?Sometime IEM users can hear a background electrical noise from their source when the volume is low; it is know as 'hissing'. Most IEMs are very sensitive therefore it is easy for them to pick up electrical noise that generally other headphones would ignore. There is no actual fix for this issue, but sometime adding an in-line resistor (to increase the impedance and lowering the sensitivity) seems to work. Also, certain sources (such as one type of HDD based iPod) are known to produce more electrical noise. Sometime, IEMs with highlighted 1KHz ~ 10kHz region in sound frequency are also referred to as being 'sibilant' or 'harsh'. The problem is, these kinds of IEMs produce very sharp sounding treble that can often be very irritating and uncomfortable during long term listening. This kind of sound is most commonly noticed in female vocal presentation. Due to the fact that everybody has a different hearing freq. resp., some IEMs will sound sibilant to some while completely fine to others. There is no real fix for this issue; however, EQing is perhaps one of the most effective solution, followed by modification of the IEM itself (mostly of the filter and nozzle). |

The price for one amplifier is already so expensive..
And the hippo biscuit can only play MP3 and WAV with no screen to select songs |

QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Jan 30 2013, 09:54 AM) Can you glue it back? I don't think so..Very heavy usage I guess, which is why I wear it over-ear, afraid my careless on the cable sometimes might end up breaking the IEM. Let see Walabies can get you a new one? I don't really use it a lot too and most of the time I wear it over the ear like you suggested Hope so |
