QUOTE(navygreen @ Apr 25 2007, 03:37 PM) Jackoz: DTS requires monthly pass for about RMxxx, not sure 100++ or 200++. You have to check the route they pass by to know where to wait. I know lotsa HSBC staffs are taking that... Else, you have bus from KL sentral to Putrajaya for RM4 and Putrajaya -> CBJ for RM 1. Both are 1 day unlimited rides pass. Anyway, may I know if you applied for your post through Shell Career website? or agenciess? If it's the previous, how long did it take for them to contact you after your status turns "Final Assessment"? Really curious ler.. I think mine was a mistake..it's kind of hopeless already. i apply thru jenjobs.com, a job agency. If u apply thru shell website, the process will be very long... n not easy to get the job as the interview will be very tough... I got my job with Shell within 1 week time after the interview... n somemore 1 time interview only... but if u apply with job agent, u have to check n confirm all the terms n condition in black n white... especially the salary n leave... if u r a contract staff u can ask for a higher salary...

QUOTE(kNapp @ May 26 2007, 03:21 AM) owh.. thanks for the reply.. but 1 question. Why do you reject the offer? I rejected their offer because I got another job offer with a much higher pay and that allows for extensive international travel. If I hadn't gotten that other offer.. I would've jumped at the chance working for Shell.

I work for Western Geco, we're a seismic exploration company. I don't think I have the mental and physical strength to work for SLB...especially out there in the field...huhuhuh

There was a guy who left SITI and then came back to the same GI-H Run and Maintain Team.. His name is Colbert.. I left SITI already.. No intention to go back there... But I wish to all goin-to-be SITIans all the best and good luck.. What ever the offer is, do not join the CTS Team.. I hear they suck.. Added on May 27, 2007, 10:49 ami think it's your thinking and attitude that counts.... Added on May 27, 2007, 10:49 ami think it's your thinking and attitude that counts.... if you already in CTS , u know what he mean it ... are u worked in CTS ? some ppl are not eligible to work in CTS , and after they know what is happening in CTS , they will quickly try to find other place to expand their skills , not entertaining user. i guaranteed they only able to survive within 3 months , and later he/she will try to go away from CTS.Trust me.

QUOTE(shaquenator @ May 27 2007, 01:42 PM) nope, im not in cts...only survive 3 months ????? wah, what kind of dept is this doing in shell organisation ? is it that bad ? I assume CTS=helpdesk?? I'm not in CTS but I'm one of the user that utilize their service. Honestly, I'm not quite sure what they are doing except for logging in my problem and try to solve the problem based on the list given for similar cases. Not sure if this is what should be done by a IT grad or did I decsribe their job scope correctly...

Most of the time, people think of CTS as too "degrading" for their wonderfully superb "brains". My theory is that if you can't even excel in the area of CTS, what makes them think they can excel elsewhere. Most of the time its an attitude issue.

CTS is a deptartment which you can excel and develop your communication and people skills... The problem with CTS is that the politics in there is too much.. I used to work with CTS before I jumped out from it.. Futhermore those people in CTS are bound to the time management tool called Apropos and WBT (if I'm not mistaken).. BTW.. it is a stupid tool.. They are some hardcore CTS there, they wouldn't want to move to other dept..and some of them just don't wnat to become bosses or consultant, they just want to answer to calls and emails... urghhhhh So either it be in CTS, GI-H, Sec-OPs or anywhere is SITI, you are required to have good communication skills either via written or spoken.. despite how sh**full your boss is...

excuse me Mavik, how well you know CTS ? my reply is meant as an advise, Yes, attitude might be an issue but what makes people want to go away is the job nature...taking calls and handling emails ! You know what, since your so "have a good working attitude", why dont you try to work there for 1 year ? QUOTE(Mavik @ May 28 2007, 01:55 PM) What a politically correct answer. Just to clear a misconception here - Apropos is NOT a time management tool. Apropos is a call routing tool - it directs which calls go to which regions/queues at any point in time - and it's very good at what it does. The time management tool is the 2nd one (I also can't recall the name). That one sucks - they ported it from Unix to Windows, and it doesn't work 100%
