Hi. I've got an invitation to attend SRD at Miri while i am living in the peninsular. Will shell cover the expenses or on our own expense? Will it be worthwhile to attend?
Thanks

You'll have to pay for your own airfare, transportation and meal costs (except during SRD). They will reimburse up to RM100 for transport and meals. However it takes quite some time before you'll be reimbursed.. it took them 2 months to pay my claim (dunno why it takes that long...maybe because I reject their offer? tongue.gif )

As for the experience I think it's very worthwhile. I learned some useful stuff when I went to SRD, also I discovered traits that I didn't even know I had!

owh.. thanks for the reply.. but 1 question. Why do you reject the offer?
*
I rejected their offer because I got another job offer with a much higher pay and that allows for extensive international travel.

If I hadn't gotten that other offer.. I would've jumped at the chance working for Shell.

Hahah close enough.. I don't work for the 'Big Blue' but I do work for a subsidiary company. I work for Western Geco, we're a seismic exploration company.

I don't think I have the mental and physical strength to work for SLB...especially out there in the field...huhuhuh
