Why? I think the canteen food sucks... The only good points are three pool tables and Shell shop... biggrin.gif

How do I know? Well, I've been there once or twice... biggrin.gif
*
Hehehe.. the canteen food is not that bad... there are still street malls, or even the food court next to Shell Wisma1 building...

and for the facilities, Shell has a recreation room which has the 2 ping-pong tables, 2 foosball, 4 carrom boards, darts and 3 pool tables... a gym with enuff equipements to sweat it out and a studio if you like jamming...

Thanks man. I'll be trying to come early to get a good space then. By the way, is there anywhere i can have breakfast near there after i park my car?
*
The only b'fast place surely be in Wisma 2... that is after you have parked your car... not quite sure about the food court next to Wisma 1, whether are they open early in the morning... haven't been to the food court for quite some time...

Thanks for the info guys. Its a bummer i can't use the temp pass to get to wisma 2 for breakfast. Looks like i'll have to find an alternative.
*
Well, it is not that you are not able to go to the cafe for b'fast, is just that you will be handle by a Training Coordinator to undergo some basic training stuff on your first week which they called "Onboarding"... They will eventually provide you with a tour of Wisma 1 and 2.. I have a new staff coming in as well on Monday..

You should be able to go to Wisma 2 for b'fast by the 2nd Day... and you also can bring your own food and in each floors in SITI has its own pantry and free flow of drinks (Milo, Nescafe, Tea)... provided you have to bring your own mug or flask..

There are also a Shell shop in Wisma 2 if you require some crackers, biscuits, canned and bottle drinks, souveniers, t-shirts, engine oil, etc..... but it would only be opened after 8am...

Good luck on your first day... Have fun... rclxms.gif

It was so long since my last post ere..

I think I know who your fren is.. There was a guy who left SITI and then came back to the same GI-H Run and Maintain Team.. His name is Colbert..

I left SITI already.. No intention to go back there...

But I wish to all goin-to-be SITIans all the best and good luck..

What ever the offer is, do not join the CTS Team.. I hear they suck..

What a politically correct answer. Most of the time, people think of CTS as too "degrading" for their wonderfully superb "brains". My theory is that if you can't even excel in the area of CTS, what makes them think they can excel elsewhere.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Most of the time its an attitude issue.
*
CTS is a deptartment which you can excel and develop your communication and people skills...

The problem with CTS is that the politics in there is too much.. I used to work with CTS before I jumped out from it.. Futhermore those people in CTS are bound to the time management tool called Apropos and WBT (if I'm not mistaken).. BTW.. it is a stupid tool.. They are some hardcore CTS there, they wouldn't want to move to other dept..and some of them just don't wnat to become bosses or consultant, they just want to answer to calls and emails... urghhhhh

So either it be in CTS, GI-H, Sec-OPs or anywhere is SITI, you are required to have good communication skills either via written or spoken.. despite how sh**full your boss is...

Just to clear a misconception here - Apropos is NOT a time management tool.  Apropos is a call routing tool - it directs which calls go to which regions/queues at any point in time - and it's very good at what it does.

The time management tool is the 2nd one (I also can't recall the name). That one sucks - they ported it from Unix to Windows, and it doesn't work 100% tongue.gif
*
True... Apropos is a call management tool.. but from the tool, it controls the time you talked, time to answer the call, time it takes for you close the interaction, time you are on idle/ready... once you are in cts, you can't run away from it.. you get used to hating it soon... Even it is meant for call routing, it sure breaks down most of the time.. and the routing sometimes failed...

Well, I'm already out from Shell... it feels good....

Good luck for those in Shell IT, and for those people who join CTS... you might need it...

Bro,

I do love SITI for the attire.. I used to wear jeans, round neck t-shirts and sports shoes almost everyday when I was there.. thumbup.gif

But my new beloved company allow me to wear the same thing as well.. rclxm9.gif
