It seems to me that the control should be more from immigration than anywhere else. On top of that owners and agents should think many2 times. If PH working family I think no issue. But students and singles, the place will have loud music, liquor bottles, fights and PH checking out malaysians near swimming pool. Speechless. Can somebody post the owners' names and the agents' names who were responsible for PH? Then hold a resident meeting. Kasi hentam cukup2

I really hope setia walk can have a good show in 1-2 years time (high rent,good tanent,wong,secure) then the wharf, millenium city and the rest of the property can follow the boom!

Yeah we cant stop them legally for renting out to
PH but we can make them feel bad for doing so. It is also bad for capital appreciation.

I m new here. Looks interesting in this forum. Hope it is view by most of the sw residents as well as SPS management. Then this forum will be quite an effective platform. I m R3 resident. A few ph but family type. I really hate owner short sighting on renting out to ph. Not to be racist but the ph are really created problems a lot. The culprit too behind are also our gov and institutions that not doing the social responsibility part.

On the JMB forming, as owner, we hv voting right annually, lets be present for the next round of jmb meeting to strengthen R3 to R1 voting power so that we could hv more say and ctrl over our resident preferences. Until now, still do not know what our jmb doing. Even submitted email contact, yet no single mail receive from jmb on what are going on. Even now, R3 still has outstanding issues not settle. I guess will be the common things happen to R2 and R1. Such as rain pour created flooding water at corridor. Door access to car park not a proper type, will easily cause damage to the security lock. Lift problems.... etc etc...

Say no to African students in Setiawalk.
If Palm Spring owners can get together to stop all agents of bringing in PH to their condo, so do we in Setiawalk.

Just received a SMS from agent, mobile 0105390440, who has spread rumours of more owners supporting them for Hostel for Foreigner Students (African).

PLEASE!! PLEASE ALL OWNER, STOP RENTING TO AFRICAN STUDENTS.

Reeived an SMS from 016906xxxx. Below are the contents:

"Thank You for Some of Setiawalk Owners Supported. More and More Owners are getting Ready to join Us. We Still Short of 40-50 units as Hostel for Foreigner Students (African). Pls Text Us if interested. Promptly Rental Guaranteed. 50% Rental Higher."

I've not even taken my keys for R1 yet :_(

Palm spring has been around quite sometime already, the rental demand is quite established. SW is new kid on the block, we shall see how long the owners can hold and resist before they will give in and rent to Pak H.

I think u all owners should demand 150% or 200% more for PH. See if agent dare to send sms again.
