My TM's Fiberhome modem labels the indicator light as 'PON'. I think this is the same as optical from other modem manufacturers. But you mentioned above that the Optical LED is OK..so perhaps it's something else..Optical LED is OK, PON is not lighted

For my case, it was the modem faulty.
