After all these problems with Maxis router and gaming problem etc. I think I wanna go with Unifi instead. However I already have a scheduled installation date with them on October 3 which is next week. Is it possible if I call them and cancel the package now? it’s not too late and I can still cancel, right?

new 10mbps user reporting in.
just installed yesterday. 1 maxis guy and 4 tm installer came.
speed test quite satisfying. ping 10ms, download 13mbps upload 12mbps.
Btw, maxis gave me a thompson tg 799n router.
i've noticed there's a dect button and light on that router. is it possible to connect my phone directly to the router instead of plugging it in? thanks.

you are the first to report in with the model.
but it is still thomson.

if it performs well, let everone know.
those using 784 can request change router.
just put in microwave, on for 10 secs will do the trick, lol

if your package is rm118,
you should call them and postpone the installation,
see if the new model thomson 799n performance.

if rm138/148
maxis is not worth the trouble.

I'm having problem with my router lately. Whenever I open my utorrent, the router will hang. The only way to solve the problem is for me to reset the router. It only happens since 2 weeks ago. Previously works all fine with utorrent. Very dissapointed with the service. Yesterday i call the service desk, it took me 20 minutes. Earlier I call again and it took me 39 minutes!!! Still there are unable to solve my problem and asking me to change the channel from 8 - 11. Sigh...

A bit regret to go with Maxis rather than Unifi.

Added on September 28, 2012, 10:09 amguys, yesterday nite CS teach me to change my wireless channel, from 8 to 11, then DC, then change to 6, DC again.

So, what channel are u all having now? I noticed some says must be on 9 and some says on 11.
