my replacement of thomson seems to be in excellent state!
no disconnection at all, wireless seems ok (although the coverage of wifi is relatively bad), top speed of 1.0MBps - 1.2MBps for download (trrnt)

same here..private IP..
not bother to change to public as not a gamer..
only heavy downloader..

some sort of..but

maxis = download + streaming + uploading
unifi = gaming + download + uploading + streaming

yup..both USB worked..i put fans under both..

but i put a usb hub..so only 1 usb on the thomson are occupied..
but cheap fans from sri comp at lowyat..rm10 each only..
so now all are at normal temp

it means if u swtich off either 1 of the modem or thomson, the VOIP will not be functioning..
so must keep both on 24/7 to enable the VOIP..
unless u are going for a long vacation, then u can switch off all of the equipments & dont forget to take put the battery from the dect phone..if not it will make noise n batteri died of searching for signal

mine change twice ald..not even 3months after installation..
stupid router..
installed on 3rd July.
1st change was some where end of July or early of Aug..
2nd change was last monday (17/09)..
next? WTF??
but some said the router is lifetime..some said 1yr..some said 2yrs..stupid maxis people..
n heard maxis going to change to a better router in few months time..that is what the technician said to me..dunno if he kencing or not

they should change to a better 1 like asus or cisco

my internet was down on 14th until 17th..
called cs a few times on 15th morning n they stupidly said to reset the "TM MODEM"! i ask 3x b4 i reset..then they ask to reset the thomson..

after that i call again spoke to diff person..the person i spoke to penng kepala ald coz modem reset..but all light on modem was lit. i ask for a technical team to contact me directly.

at 10.42am the technician called n said tm contractor need to come..n need to booked appointment..i asked today cannot? he said cannot..then i ask for compensation..

1.5hrs later he called back n said billing team agreed to reimburse me rm60 (more then half)..i said ok la but i still want the internet to be up immediately.

on sunday afternoon maxis called again to confirm an appointment on tues afternoon..of coz la cannot of working..installation ald take leave, this stupid problem also kena take leave ka? i asked for monday coz monday PH..
they call back n said monday afternoon at 12pm..i said ok la n i will be waiting..they better arrive at 12..

monday they arrive..of coz maxis arrive 1st, then TM (normal)..TM take a look at the modem n see nothing went wrong..so the maxis guy take a look, thomson spoiled (AGAIN???) change, reconfig, n everything normal...

conclusion: new router + discount = OH YEAH!!

so now whose fault??

mine is flat rate as i'm using ivalue plan.
but i do subscribe extra ten..so the calculation is quite difficult to measure.

i dont think there should be any advance fee or charges
