Bro, so u chose k5 over 408?
*
Ya bro, my heart was set on 408T, but new car no discount and most of the SAs gave me sucky trade-in price. I wanted to wait to test drive Focus HB 2012 before deciding but the space for the rear passenger is a turn-off, and currently K5 got promo...

After all the discount and trade-in, the difference requires me to extend the loan for another year only...

After test drive 2 time, I am sold. Later, brought the home minister to view and test drive again, she say "YES". She says 408T not comfortable for her at the back because of the bumpy ride...

Guess have to work harder next time to earn my conti ride in the future cry.gif

As long the alarm interface with the car wiring system - Yes, it would be void.

The car has a siren not an alarm which will sound when there is a break in or if anybody opens the doors after the car has been locked. But basically, there is no fool proof system out there. If BMW's and Merc can be stolen, i dont see why a K5 cant be. Sometimes the best defence is something visual e.g steering lock. Although this wont stop someone intent on stealing but it will delay and car thieves dont like delays.

You need professional help. There are shops that specialize in cushion cleaning and can dismantle the entire seat to give it a real good wash. But this comes at a cost, of course and you'll need to pay for it.

Your K5 comes with a built-in immobiliser, so it's not so easy to ignite the engine without the smart key. I would suggest a physical brake-lock as extra safety precaution, if you find steering lock a little cumbersome.

perhaps this is what you guys might wanna look out for, if you guys just want to get the extra protection for your ride without and voiding of warranty and not too expensive of course

Simple to use, just pull to lock and press to lock twice tongue.gif

once lock engine can't be started , and fear not as it won't void any warranty, cause its just a Plug n Play item

guys,
for those who have rattling issue, i suggest you guys to look for a technician named Fendi at Kia Glenmarie. i initially complained it during my 1st service at red cube but they did not solve my rattling noise from the rear side. today, i went to glenmarie specifically to complain abt the same thing. Fendi fixed back my left rear door trim and boot.... the result was awesome! no more annoying sound and i left the SC with a happy face smile.gif
