Newbie coming to this thread!!  tongue.gif

Got my lovely K5 last week from Penang, it is an unit owned by my friend where she must let go her unit to me because she need to work at overseas starting next week.

Fuel Consumption : Not know how many kms i can go for full tank, the AVG Fuel Consumption shown 7.1L/100km at the highway and after few days driving city now increased to 7.6L/100km, i think it might go further.

Just curious, why when I press "reset" button, the AVG Fuel Consumption not showing data after reset or it can't be reset ?

Ride: The ride is awksome!  rclxms.gif
Especially with the autocruise the riding at highway make superb easy, my two legs sometimes not working at all  rclxm9.gif

I see here someone did the auto folding side mirror with smart key, I am wonder where can I get it done also ?
Will it also void the 5 years warranty we have with this done ?
*
congratz bro and welcome to the club..
you can find more good stuff sharing from the K5 owner here: http://www.facebook.com/groups/myk5club/

enjoy your ride:)

All, just booked my k5 last Friday, waiting for loan processing.
This forum is the best info for me about k5, from v1 to v3, which also helps me to make up my mind on this. Hopefully loan will approve earlier.

Any idea what is the interest rate like? Need to budget for glow ...hehe...
*
mine is around 2.48% from pbb, approved sept 2012

iSk! that means my friend not lying to me accord got more power on the road...

aisey shame on me have doubt  blush.gif

bro, may i ask you what is the speed limit that you're looking at? i mean do u drive with top speed all time? as for me, i just tried once on my k5 top speed and it give me around 195 km/h, and fyi, that wasnt the limit yet, i has no balls to stick the pedal to the floor..

but i havent hav any chance to try/see/watch drag race between: k5 2.0 vs sonata 2.0 vs camry 2.0 vs accord 2.0 ..and im looking forwards to see the result, if the result show the difference gab below 1-2sec, i wont say it doesnt make any difference for me, this is D-segment ride, if looking for sporty performance, i wont got for AMG/BMW/AUDI which is outta topic here.

if the performance wasnt an concern, than should compare with the:

1. Pricing
2. Package -internally and externally
3. Safety features
4. confortability
5. design and look
6. accessory

thats my 2cent

I had watched the drag race. If you really want to compare the speed, k5 beat honda and camry......

Good one!! Totally agree with you. I always told my friend, if resale value is so important to you then when you decide to buy a car you only need to look for Toyota and Honda. No need to waste time and shop around.

My friend parent just spend $100k++ to buy a jazz hybrid...... I only felt sorry for them..... but they have to right to spend their own money.... I just felt sorry for them to live in "resale value" world......
*
i had watch this video during i did my survey on K5 b4 i bought it, but this video is drag between 2.4 & above cars, u can see they use 2.4 turbo GDI engine (similar with sonata 2.4 version), and we didnt have this model in boleh land yet (and not sure if NAZA KIA will bring this in or not)..i really wish to see the drag race/statistic/result on those 2.0 version, personally i test camry and sonata, the result for this 3 model win by k5, camry is too heavy for 0-100 and 4speend auto loss to 6 speed auto interm of long disctance high speed, and i would say i am biased to Optima baby..hehehe brows.gif

yet i havent tested high speed cornering and touge (uphill &downhill run), but i dont think these car can really take those corner as how c segment does, at least for me cos i dorve c segment for the pass 10 year and my lousy skill cap on c segment only cry.gif

please dont get me wrong, im not trying to say this is the best car u can have, but as for 2.0, with 6 speed auto, stabilize and traction control, 6 airbag, full sunroof, infinity sound system with 8 speaker, keyless entry, auto light, auto wiper, rear fog light (actually this is quite unique and safety, especially during heavy raining on highway when vincibility is low so the car behind you will notice your car),18' rim, full leather seat, memory seat (this is something fun and just like a toy for me).. and etc, this car is worth and value for your hard-earn money compare with other brand who offer you an cut cost package.

Please do share what/how you feel about this car..sharing is caring

adios

Got my new K5 at noon from Vincent today  icon_idea.gif

- Like earlier buyers have mentioned, great service, prompt follow ups, responsible.
- Very fast car delivery, in fact too fast from my expectation  biggrin.gif (I was in dilemma to wait for another plate number).
- All queries and concerns on the car buying process he has followed thru well and addressed them
- He also gave walk through in detail on all functions and checks with me when taking the car. Left the outlet very satisfied and worry free smile.gif

And I reckon I got by far the best deal, as I have been scouting around for some time at various places. So future new K5 owners, call up Vincent to check for best deal.

Anyway back to the car, it's so awesome I have the urge to sleep in the car tonight!  thumbup.gif

How you guy think of New K5 VS second hand Sonata 2.4 (2010/2011)
Btw that not yet test drive, will try to slot in free time for test drive.. kakaka

Sonata 2.4 not worth buying brand new de, this my own opinion.
Considering this two cars.

Thinking to trade in 2011 Kia forte SX which bought early of this year.
*
depend your needs dude, if im in your shoe, i will stick with forte now till K5 hav facelift or GDI engine in malaysia

That time i did not notice about K5 (guess just launching only) before buying this forte, sort of bought wrong car haiz but still considering mode la. Some more i buy this forte in rush mode, did not even test drive as i intends to pass to my dad to drive, so i just booked 1.6 how i know quite under powered. haiz.

Actually i comparing second hand 2.4 Sonata which priced around RM110 000 - 120 000, quite tempting compared to new K5 140K ++
*
if u're looking at power, go for sonata 2.4L...just my 2cent
