maybe everyone is switching from the usual equity funds into PFEPRF? I would like to think that people is reading my previous posts on this property fund and taking action... LOL...

PS. China market was closed last 2 business days for Ching Ming. Thai market on holiday today; and would be on holiday next Mon/Tues for Songkran.

yeah. this is the cheapest way to "own properties in overseas"
I switched all my equity funds to this PFEPRF since Dec 2012, no complain and no regret so far.

Yup yup, it was a semi-dog from start till 2008.
IF i'm mistaken, the change to super-duper fund was due to the change in mix after 2008.

By the way, is it when you want to know how's the fund price for today, you have to wait until late night like 8pm then can know the price? or is there any other way to monitor it live?

there's no way to monitor it live. end of day, only then they calculate for that day price.

even for some funds, especially non-local fund, we need to wait for another extra day for the price to be known since other country might have different trading time.

I see, but then how's agents monitor the fund price? He can tell me that the fund is going up/down before the closing time. Is it the agents monitoring the stock market?

maybe he/she monitor the fund benchmark.

as for our local fund, KLCI or FBM Top 100 can be monitor live, and could well give us first clue either our fund going to be red or green that day.

Like today, KLCI +5 point,FBM Top 100 +37 point, we can expect our local fund is going to be green.

But today, our FBM Smallcap is -26 and we can expect our related fund to be on red today. Public Smallcap today price still not out yet, but you can always check it later.

Neither PIF nor PBF seem to register as performers.

For eg, PBF registered a grand total gain of 2.62% in the past year. Your money would have been better off in FD in the bank. Much much better considering you don't have to pay 5.5% to begin with.

One possible reason for them re-opening the funds is enough people have seen the light and dumped their holdings, thereby allow their CONsultants to drag in more unsuspecting bystanders.

I believe the information is given through email to all PM unit trust consultant.

Maybe you can ask your agent to forward to you any new news of related fund.

Another news today is PM lauching optional Takaful Plan, a new Mutual Takaful Protection (MTP)

For me, I don't recommend this 2 funds, PIF nor PBF due to under performing.

Yes, the reopening of these 2 funds information is via PM's UTC email.
