If it's a Ragnarock GB for massive keycaps set like this, that's out of the question.Ragnarock does not do custom packaging, so it's either a small or a medium box. If he did a medium box with custom wrapping, it would be much cheaper, but the GB organizer can do whatever they want.

Me and rao's order already fill up the Small Flat Rate Box pretty tight. I would've wanted to go for another base set, but I can't fit any more in there. So, that's $17 there. If Rao wanted other color kits, it will not fit into the box at all.

Moving up would be $55, and it needs to be more than 7 person sharing to make it worthwhile. Otherwise, 6 person can do $17 each at 3 packs and still end up cheaper than the $55 cost.
That is 7 Persons, not 7 sets.

People I know who joined are Me, Rao and Jinhan. Need another 4. Cyclone does not like Rag, adding you in, need 3 person more. There are less than 7 person who spend on keycap sets regularly in here, either that, or they don't post often.

not quite understand how big is this box and that box....
did you2 gotten a $17 box or 2 $17 boxes....
and how many sets are in the $17 box that you2 got?
also how many sets and kits can fit into a $17 box?

as for the $55 box, can fit how many sets/kits?

every one will be appreciate if anyone forming a group buy start a [bulk] tread and place a link in their signature,
then can collect more orders and make quota for each box,
eg' now have 2 person sharing, we are getting a $17 box, if we reached 6 sets, we are getting another $17 box, if reached 7 persons, then getting a $55 box, and can take another 2 sets or so in the box, then collect more to shares.

to ducky/backlit kb owners, any of u got pbt keycaps on them? will the keycaps 'glow' if the backlit is on? my understanding is that pbt is thick, and no light can penetrate through it.

first image is the LEDs under the modifier keys. Which clearly the light could not pass through.

second image is showing the LED under the GH double shot key cap (ABS), since it is white, so the key cap still manage to glow.

I think LED will not penetrate most of the dark solid color of the PBT kcaps. Light color shud ok i guess, like white, cream color etc yellow, green...

PBT caps are rougher on the surface and the colour is more 'solid'. I believe only a minimal light can be seen, usually there is a small window for a light if they want a light to be seen from the caps.

1 small box fits, 2 base kit, 2 color kits, and 1 tsangan kit.
In light of the Red Alert offerings, if the second person decides that he want the color kit/tsangan kit, the other person can't even get all the combination. Do you see the trouble here?

I have no idea how many kits a $55 box fit, but it's quite big.

Anyway, things discussed here is moot. I'll bring it up again in the future again.
Next GB from Ragnarock is a PBT Dye Sub set, and expect to pay $100 a set for the base kit alone. How many would want to share shipping?

If you are referring to the dye sub set, it's what Ragnarock have been talking about. There's nothing concrete yet.

I think "hard" is the more suitable word than thick.

BTW, there exist semi-translucent POM keycaps out there.

IIRC, there used to be whole white colored PBT keycaps.
