what are the available keycap for ducky dragon? and who is selling? i wanna buy a set just in case for future needs
There are tons of available keycaps can be use wif ur dragon bro . But the kcaps that dragon using juz now is a translucent letter type which usually hard to get in the market nowdays . Other keycaps that can utilize those LEDs is transparent keycaps that oso quite cool and can be found at taobao or ebay but taobao selling cheaper I think...but to me I really don care bout translucent letter coz the LED is bright enuff and shud penetrate the normal keycaps one and some more it actually make the kcaps become glowing which oso cool
You can find most of the keycaps at taobao.com, ebay, wasdkeyboards, or from geekhack forum...any other place u shud ask from sifus2 here

Was just randomly browsing a certain IT store in PJ digitalmall and came across the razer blackwidow. Noticed the arrow keys were exposed to give people a feel for its mechanical keys. It was literally love at first press. Oh my god I never thought keyboards could feel this good!
Went back and read up more on mechanical keyboards and I came across this video of superfreckland making a video review on the razer blackwidow, along with its one year followup review. The sound it makes is just pure sex!
Yeah I read the forum discussion on the blackwidow and on other forums as well. I heard about the supposed issues but there were also a lot of positive reviews on the keyboard, both on youtube and on forums.
All things considered so I decided to take the plunge and got myself one. I got the blue LED backlit ultimate keyboard with the Cherry MX Blues. Tried the stealth editions and it just lacked the clickety awesomeness. The new versions are all in Greenbacklit LEDS which I didn't want, so I took the Blackwidow Ultimate for mac instead, which had the blue backlight and has the Cherry MX Blues. Extremely happy with my purchase. It's everything I wanted in the ultimate keyboard.
Here's some photos I took of it during daytime.
This is at max brightness. It's clearly visible right during daylight in my room.

Yeah it does work on my windows 7 professional. I made sure of that before I made the purchase. Detected right out of the box, lights working without drivers installed. You just need to install the windows drivers for the other fancier stuff like profiles, macros and such. You dont even need the drivers to get basic stuff like activation and lighting modes.
I didn't go with the duckies because I really liked the Razer's fonts and how the individual letters are backlit.

I really wanted to get a Razer Ultimate as well, it's sexy. but the fact that it is Razer drives me back.
Nope, I went to the testing station and unboxed it right at the shop itself and ran a full keyboard typing test. That issue didn't appear on my unit. The spacebar is far enough away from the ALT key. No worries there
My razer abyssus did give me somewhat of a bad experience due to the mouse rubber coating peeling off (Just changed to a Logitech G500), but I'm not about to ditch other product lines of the same company just because of that one failure.
I'll continue using the keyboard and will share later on if any f***ups happen with the keyboard.
EDIT: Oh if you read the comments from the youtube video :
QUOTE
I called razor and they told me they will not replace the keyboard but they will send me a new spacebar. So I am guessing a lot of ppl have been having this issue and the spacebar is just defected. If you want to just give them a call and they will send you out a replacement key.

Bro, please be informed that the so called reviews can no longer be fully trusted nowadays(not only for the BWU case of course). Sometime, those reviews are simply biased and written by some fanbois/online reviewers which are sponsored or simply marketing strategy of the brands themselves. Of course I can't deny that there may be bad review written by haters(like me, LOL)/rivals.
In short, we should take those reviews with a pinch of salt, and trust more on hands-on experience. However, those negative comments may serve pretty well for the points which you should check about when you first getting them. It help you expect the "worst".
For the last bolded part, fonts are pretty subjective. Some ppl like the Sci-Fi fonts and some ppl don't. If you are despo enough, you can always design your own and go for custom keycaps. For individual BL, FYI, all mech kb with BL out there are probably individual BL, so you probably just got GIMMICKED by Razer, LOL.

What's BL? Oh backlight. It's not just about the BL, maybe I wasn't being clear enough. I certainly am not going through the trouble to design my own custom BL keys nor search for other types. Gimmicked? Don't think so. I went through many many different reviews and most of them are independent youtubers that also review many other products. If you go through superfreckleland's videos you know she's not affiliated with razer in any way.

Individual BL isn't something exclusive for Razer, so I say you got gimmicked.
Also, some reviewers simply review all sort of products(some being sponsored), and they may not be the most suitable/professional person for a particular product. It is also pretty expected for a positive review for that the stuffs are being sponsored for review(not pointing finger to anyone, no offense).
Lastly, there are lots of fanbois out there(for all brands), who are blind/willing enough to defend a brand for just the logo(and not quality).
Ultimately, whats important is that you got what you want and feel happy with it.

sad to say, but it's true that most of us here tend to avoid razer BW series boards. Not simply because of it's quality issue.. but also it's appearance is too "YEAH" or maybe we're too old for that kind of design
0 - design 0 - quality
gg.com
CM's quickfire rapid almost has the same problem because of its overbranding appearance, but its superior build quality manage to save it.
0 - design 1 - quality
for the meantime, enjoy typing on your very first mechanical keyboards, eventually, well if you still have that passion flowing in you, you'll understand why we drools over bland looking boards such as HHKB2, Topres, Model Ms, and other custom boards.

Don't worry, once you are hooked with mech keyboards, you will go further by exploring other mech keyboards like Topre, Ducky, Filco, Leopold etc
Anyway, those reviews are based on personal opinions. You should test other keyboards first before making a call

Haha I know what you mean. It's an acquired taste. Like grown men appreciating fine wine while the little boys choking over the sour taste. Maybe later on, who knows? For now I'm more than happy with what I have now.
