mikelanding, yea its thick, i call it the big O. feels great!! at some point you will feel like you're typing on a rubber dome but its actually mechanical. because of the bouncy-ness. xD

i only put o ring on spacebar cause it is exceptionally loud

how thick is it?
1.5mm seems good enough for my use. But i really hate the bottoming out feel on mine.

From the description, its 2.5mm. i have a pack of 1mm. interested?

the o rings that came to me

2.5mm looks way too thick, unless you are using SP Sphericals / DS keys. Then it should be good.
1mm is too thin for any effect for most keycaps.
I have 1.5mm 50A EDPM rings to fit a few keyboards, so, no thanks.

So, looks like O-rings is a no go for me unless i want to have a quiet MX Red/Black board. Maybe I should try 60/70A O-rings next.

If anyone does not know it yet, O-rings on tactile switches will totally destroy the key feel.

I bought the 1mm and 2.5mm to test found out that 2.5mm suit me more so im planning to let go the 1mm. and PBT is really nice to type on!! now its only37 keys PBT. might change to full 87 PBT in the future.

It depend on what key you putting on,
the OEM keys should be Ok,
they specifically mention that is not for the cherry original height keys.

The keys actually become higher after putting on the thick O-rings,
the dampen effect are similar to the thin o-rings, I think.

I haven't tried to put on a small and big o-rings side by side to compare yet.

might try that later.

I tried my POM, and white PBT, they both feel great!

I actually quite like the POM keys. using it without O-rings,
the bottoming out feel is not bad as well, might because of the thickness of the keys.

thought that the rainbow sideprint pbt semipermeable on taobao got all white, but they said dont have. haih.

YES the thick O-rings do lift the keys higher. after trying thin and thick side by side, i prefer thick ones, because the thin ones feels like no different.
