There's new channel on Astro 532, if i'm not mistaken, SKY NEWS HD~~ Starting on 8th September.

Been expecting, but not this sudden. (people's rant on KBS World HD on Astro)
Also, did Sky News HD goes on under (expected) news pack or basic one?

This is surprise as there was no prior announcement. Anyway, i still want to watch Music Bank in HD Now would you just introduce a new KBS World Ahd Channel already ?

Singtel just made the annoucement that they are carrying the full package of FIC channels (on Starhub) in addition to new ones like [V]HD, Baby TV HD, STAR Life OK, FOX Action Movies etc (all not on Starhub).

Suspect astro could be in panic mode as FIC will do the same when the exclusive contracts ends on astro.....so they may launch one by one....

Would I be right in guessing it'll be the same Sky news channel as broadcast in the UK?

Seems a bit strange they haven't advertised this at all. Not that I'm complaining.

Does anyone know if there will be an SD version of the channel broadcast too?

No SD provided so far.

I jsut check the TV guide its seems to be different from Starhub schedule of sky news,its sky News all day long on asstro.Its just Sky News today and Sky News HD NO specials.

Should be the same……SKY sometimes don’t deliver their EPG data on time…on some occasions, starhub would just leave it blank and even indicate “No Events” on the EPG.

Same feed as the UK except when it comes to commercial breaks, international viewers (us) would see some generic SKY News promos.

hi guys - i recently upgraded my package to include PVR.

using my current decoder (Byond HD) - can i just add the 320GB HDD ?

or do i need to change decoder and install something addtional?

You will need a compatible WD HDD.

Given assteruk's attitude, I won't count on it. Now only they bring in Sky News (remember when we're all demanding for the channel back during the Royal Wedding fiasco?) and also given how they look down on childrens programming. I won't count on them getting BabyTV HD.

Yeahhhhh, I wouldn't count on it getting Cartoon Network HD even with this evidence either....

Eh, assteruk promised me cBeebies, boomerang and KidsCo are coming soon when I signed up 4 years ago.

Guess where two of the channels are now?

i don't know la why astro have so much difficulties to add and improve their channel line up... maybe they need major upgrade...

i think they're already upgraded.. It's the customer's decoders are need to be upgraded.. because old decoder can't support MPEG4...

now please bring in sky sport HD. i hate it when they don't show my F1 in HD live
