You will need a compatible WD HDD.

yes! rclxms.gif grab myself a compatible HDD last nite and it works immediately!

is it normal you can't record a movie let's say at KBSW and at the same time view another channel live at FMP ?

each time i record a movie and wanna switch channel - it says i am currently moving away and i hv to cancel recording first.

The standard Byond decoder only have a single tuner. So, you can only watch and record the same channel. Only the Byond PVR decoder with built in HDD have 2 tuners which mean you will be able to record 1 channel while watch recorded channel, watching/switching to another live channel or record 2 channel while you're away.

thks for the advise biggrin.gif

i guess if i switch to the Byond PVR decoder now - my external HDD would be redundant. Or can i plug in too and hv 2 hdd - one internal and one external?

and for the Byond PVR decoder - do i need to add any additional wiring to the Dish and all that?

thks!
