IINM the transaction done on weekend eventhou they only appear on the next weekday will still be eligible for the 5% cash back...

Guys. Is it normal for Maybank to charge the RM50 service tax for EACH of the Maybankcard2cards? Coz i tot they only charge the service tax for 1 card instead of both sweat.gif

A little off topic. I realize the other day u can open a Maybank2U Savers Account without actually having a normal savings account. I can see the option there on M2U but I never applied for it.
*
Yes, you can sign up for M2U account for just your MBB credit cards even if you don't have a single banking account.

Click below link to read my experience of opening M2U 2 years back when I first got the MBB 2 Cards more than a year ago:

Maybank2U for Maybank Credit Cards - You Don't Need A Savings or Current Account

And I had to sign up for another NEW M2U account when I opened a Maybank Savings Account and wanted to link my credit cards to it.

They will charge RM50 for the MBB2 AMEX but they will also credit RM50, so net net you pay no GST for AMEX. I think this has been mentioned in Post#2 FAQ.

In accordance to BNM Guidelines, a person can only hold credit cards from 2 issuers if he/she is earning less than RM36K. Therefore human nature is correct to say no maximum. And you misunderstood what you read, it's not two credit cards but once again credit cards from two issuers.

For more info, please read this thread or my article on BNM Guidelines at my wordpress blog.

Just call the Maybank CS to make the changes. Ignore the "bullshit" of no longer entitled to future promotions once change the Statement Date.
Always change Statement Date so that you have fund to pay your CC bills in FULL 20 days after Statement Date.

Eg. If 1st of every month, Due date is approx 20th-21st of every month.

Maybank has selected Statement Date to select....

You can change your statement date by email as well.

My original statement date is on 8th everymonth. I email them saying I want to change the statement date. They reply me with some choice such as:

Thank you for your e-mail.

For our further assistance, we would appreciate you to provide us with 12 digits of your IC number, the last 4 digits of your card number (eg: xxxx xxxx xxxx 1234) and the preferable billing cycle which you could choose below.

1) Billing cycle 14th of every month, due date on 3rd or 4th of the following month
2) Billing cycle 18th of every month, due date on 7th or 8th of the following month
3) Billing cycle 24th of every month, due date on 13th or 14th of the following month
4) Billing cycle 26th of every month, due date on 15th or 16th of the following month
5) Billing cycle 28th of every month, due date on 17th or 18th of the following month

Should we be of any further assistance to you, do feel free to contact our Customer Service Executives at 1-300-88-6688 or 03-7844 3696 (overseas) and fax to 03-79538600 or e-mail to mbbcardservices@maybank.com.my.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,
For Maybank

Follow their instruction and viola. The statement date changed. BTW, just for info, I request for statement date change on 15 Aug and succesfully change on 21 Aug (change to 28th). In month Sept, they only issue the statement on 28th. So I have more than 20 days to pay the transaction I had done on Aug because the statement date for month Aug should be 8th Sept instead of 28th Sept. tongue.gif

For cheque: Malayan Banking Berhad

I found it troublesome as well when i first deposit the cheque for M2C. Just key in any 1 of the 2 card number or drop it into the conventional cheque machine - i find MBB cheque deposit machine a class below others. Anyway i only use the AMEX now so no issue.

Ambank - Can key in various account with the machine with 1 cheque payment
Citibank - just slot in the cheque and you're done!!
*
Cheque should be made payable to Maybankard Centre, as mentioned by genx and as stated on the back of your credit card statement.
Account number will be your credit card number.
I pop in 2 cheques every month, one for each card.

Yeah, can open any type of account actually. As long an account to bank in some money and allow linkage to CC, and online banking / transactions.

Yes, is normal to charge 2x RM50. Then the Amex card will auto-refund back RM50.
Therefore, for the visa/master, either you pay RM50 GST, or call up CS to request redeem 10k TP to offset it.

Actually no, in my M2U there is only 1 option which is to open the M2U Savers Account. I believe all other Saving Account have to go bank to open.

OT: Yes, physically have to goto bank to open account for others.
Anyway, to link CC to MBB2u online, you still need to goto counter, and fill up the linkage form.
