QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Dec 17 2012, 03:25 PM) Thanks for the prompt replies guys! wow... Another noobie question, For people like me without M2U savings account, I prefer to pay by cash/cheque at ATM machine. For Cash payment I assume is quite straight forward, key in our credit card number & payment amount? For Cheque payment, what payable name should I put? And what's the account number to bank in? I suggest write cheque for full amount. Then at the back of the cheque, write down the card details and amount for each card. Follow Citibank CC style for multi-CC payment. Allow several days for processing, hence bank in earlier. Best is just open up a savings account with ATM card, just few bucks in a year only. Get it online and link to CC, this maybe troublesome to do it one time only. Then, you can online track your spendings immediately. And also make payment easily. In case you travel overseas and forgot make payment, you can ask people to transfer/IBG into your MBB savings account (or you can load it up much earlier) and do online transfer. e.g. if 30k credit limit, overseas used up 29k and need to swipe 20k more (obviously can't apply such huge amount for temporary increase), so you just login online, make 20-28k payment, they can continue swipe again. |

I think cute_boboi meant opening a Saving Account with MBB where you'll be issued a Debit Card. Will do some hands on practise at ATM machine one of this day during off peak hour. Just gotta learn! Click below links to read my articles on M2U: My Maybank Platinum Debit Card for My Maybank Credit Cards and Maybankard 2 AMEX for Paying Bills Online with M2U. And to answer your question of paying MBB 2 Cards bills with cheque, read your statement and it will state: Make cheque payable to Maybankard Centre. Previously we were told to make it payable to Maybankard Centre for <your Name as per in your IC> and I still do so up to date. Behind the cheque, write you credit card number, name and contact number. This post has been edited by Gen-X: Dec 17 2012, 04:14 PM |

The payment will take effect immediately but only reflected the next day.I had tried using my CC till my limit where I can't swipe it anymore. I tried to pay bill using CC at M2U but it didn't allowed. So I make a RM100 payment (using pay any amount at CC statement) and try again to pay the bill using CC and it's successful. |

For online cash payment from own Savings Account into own credit card, it is immediate within seconds, once payment is successful. |

Is there an overlimit fee for Maybank cards?
I used my M2VISA at kitbag.com, and the total amount on the invoice was GBP60.07, it was slightly over the credit limit (around RM40 extra) I have remaining on my card. However, the MSOS msg from Maybank stated GBP64.07, normally it is the exact amount. I'm gonna call the CS later, just wondering if anyone here knows. |

First swipe, couldn't go through, then remembered I must have exceeded my credit limit. Went into the convenience store, logged into M2U using my mobile, a few taps here and there, went out again and second swipe, voila, just in time for extra 5% weekend cash back! I realize the other day u can open a Maybank2U Savers Account without actually having a normal savings account. I can see the option there on M2U but I never applied for it.Click below links to read my articles on M2U: My Maybank Platinum Debit Card for My Maybank Credit Cards and Maybankard 2 AMEX for Paying Bills Online with M2U. I found it troublesome as well when i first deposit the cheque for M2C. Just key in any 1 of the 2 card number or drop it into the conventional cheque machine - i find MBB cheque deposit machine a class below others. Anyway i only use the AMEX now so no issue. Ambank - Can key in various account with the machine with 1 cheque payment Citibank - just slot in the cheque and you're done!! |

Just want to ask. If I buy something online on weekend, would I get 5% on what I bought by using AMEX card? Usually when I buy something on weekend by using AMEX. The transaction record will only be shown in my maybank onine account on weekday, which is Monday. What about if I buy something online on weekend?
