Hello! I got a sms informing me that my application has been approved last Friday. I logged on to m2u and it already shows 2 credit card accounts, AMEX and Mastercard.
Question: How do I claim the card? Will they deliver it to my office? Or should I pick it up? I have not received any call from their customer service about it. Problem is I am overseas and will be back in KL next week so I'm afraid by the time I get back in KL they have already cancelled it. Because from previous experience, they will cancel your card if remained unclaimed for a number of days.

QUOTE(JonnY @ Dec 3 2012, 05:09 PM) How do you apply? If online, they will courier to the address that you selected when filling the form. Last time I received the card through poslaju after 1 week I received the approved SMS. If through branch, then collect the cards at the branch you apply it for. I actually applied a number of times both online and through their branch, because the online application is just so slow. But I believe that it's my online application that made it through because of some details I mentioned in the application. Should I personally be there to receive the credit cards, like do I have to sign/acknowledge something? Because I'm still overseas.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Dec 3 2012, 06:14 PM) why dont you call/email CS to inquire about the delivery mode, and try to give a specific instruction (such as address, etc). Well yeah I can't call them cos I'm overseas (such a cheapo ) but I can email them but usually it would take them a couple of days to reply. I'm asking here in the thread because I might get an answer right away since you guys already have the card and you can base it from your experience. I just want to know if I need to be physically there to receive the card because if my presence is not required/they'll just leave it at our receptionist then there will be no problem for me. Thank you bud!

QUOTE(JonnY @ Dec 4 2012, 08:39 AM) If you applied online and you checked on delivery to your address, then they will send it using poslaju. Anyone can sign received on your behalf. There will be a slip in the envelope that need you to sign acknowledgement and pass it to any branch maybe within 1 week (not confirm). If you checked on the collect at selected branch in your application form, then you have to go to the branch to collect it yourself and sign on the acknowledgement slip personally. Thanks for this. I was just called by Maybank informing me that the cards are ready for pick-up but I told them to hold the cards until Saturday cos I'm not in MY. Okay another noob question: In may m2u online account, it states there the cardholder's name is missing the last 2 letters of my surname. Like for example my name is Adam Garcia but it says Adam Garc only. Is that a mistake? Or is this the way they do it? I'm pretty sure my name's not very long and I submitted all my documents with my complete name on it. I have yet to receive my cards on Saturday though.

Question: What if I already used my Amex this morning but have just registered now for the 15% cashback. Will I still be entitled to the 15% cashback? Sorry if it sounds stupid.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Dec 8 2012, 10:25 PM) you will get 15% cashback as long as the 3mil fund is not exhausted. this of course depends on the weekend rule for 5% Ok let's just assume the 3million has not been exhausted yet. Will I still be entitled if I swiped first before registering?

So I just opened my mailbox and found a letter from Maybank basically saying congrats on your new card blah blah. And it also said "We will be happy to issue you a new PIN instantly when you collect the card..."
I collected my card a week ago and the bank officer didn't give me any PIN. What is this PIN anyway, and how do I get it?

QUOTE(hiansitt @ Dec 16 2012, 10:20 PM) Ok thanks guys. I guess I don't really need the PIN since I won't be withdrawing cash from my cc. They charge so high for cash advances!

QUOTE(cute_boboi @ Dec 17 2012, 03:59 PM) e.g. if 30k credit limit, overseas used up 29k and need to swipe 20k more (obviously can't apply such huge amount for temporary increase), so you just login online, make 20-28k payment, they can continue swipe again. So does that mean if I pay thru m2u, the payment will take effect immediately? No waiting anymore? What if I pay online on a Saturday, will it reflect on Monday or immediately on Saturday?

QUOTE(JonnY @ Dec 17 2012, 04:21 PM) The payment will take effect immediately but only reflected the next day. I had tried using my CC till my limit where I can't swipe it anymore. I tried to pay bill using CC at M2U but it didn't allowed. So I make a RM100 payment (using pay any amount at CC statement) and try again to pay the bill using CC and it's successful. That's great news. Means upon payment, it will free up my credit limit immediately for the same amount.
