i have a question.
i'm 18 and i wish to apply for this card.
went to maybankard centre in 1U today and they told me that the only way i can get this card is by pledging FD.
i'm fine with this as i do have FD account with Maybank.
question is since the age restriction is 21 for Principle Card, how to they bypass my application?

they probably have their own rule and procedure for doing it. tongue.gif well, if they give it to some immature underage kids and they spend and the father pays, i dun see wat's the problem. a win-win. kid happy, bank happy. smile.gif

bare in mind that its principle card, nothing to do with "father pays"

That's highly unlikely they can bypass it as the age rule is made by BNM, not Maybank. Anyway, did you ask them how much is the credit limit can be given to you if you pledge your FD ? Say how much can you get if the pledged FD account is RM10,000 ?
*
its normally 1 to 1

just got my 2 Platinum cards yesterday.
i'm a supplementary cardmember
was wondering about the monthly statement.
at the moment its a combined statement, but i requested for a separate one.
when i logged in M2U, it says if i want to view the statements i have to cancel receiving hard copies.
why is this so?

Not sure if MBB can  issue separate statement but Supp Card BUT you definitely can have the SMS alert be sent to the Supp Card Holder. Just call CS to update mobile number.
*
they already made a separate monthly statement for my supp card.
on the other hand, i've updated my number for supp card SMS Alert but its still sending to Principle card rclxub.gif

not that i know, except the exchange rate..

amex exchange rate is usually higher than visa/mastercard..

and bank exchange rate is generally higher than the money exchange rate
*
i'm aware of the higher exchange rate.
but i saw another thread stating that theres Admin fees, and AMEX is again higher than Master/Visa sweat.gif

both method didnt go through.
but when i purchased air ticket from Air Asia the other day, it was successful.
AMEX is also verified on Paypal.

for local transaction, MYR is no problem when using AMEX+paypal..
for oversea transaction, MYR is not allowed. it will use USD then convert to MYR in AMEX...

what reason the transaction not go through? error message?
some merchant wont allow AMEX+paypal..u need visa/master for it..
*
like i said earlier, im using it to charge USD.
error message says: purchase unsuccessful.
please contact steam support

You can use amex to pay directly instead of going through paypal. I had the same issue as yours, in the end i paid directly using my amex, make sure you filled in your info and location correctly
*
i used AMEX and mastercard on it, also cant work.
not to mention that this morning i tried using my visa debit as well, so i believe its the merchant's problem
