just look at the transaction date on the mb2u.

don't confuse urself between posting date and transaction date.
i bought from US websites b4, posting date is always a few days later, but transaction date is always weekend, as my purchase.

so meaning i will get rebate, what about the time of transaction.
follow US or MY time.
worried the time difference of 13-14 hours could make the transaction date different

most of the transaction times i had made follow US time. for example 9am monday is still sunday in the US. so entitled for rebate.

Have anyone try to pay utility bill (TM,TNB,Water Bill)on weekend and get 5% cash rebate using amex b4?
*
I am also new to this MBB amex, any one can help clarify this?

I remember reading tru old posts that mentioned we can try no harm, get it done online weekend, TNB shop sure close weekend- take as bonus 5%

My card just arrived, so i cant do online payment yet. Wonder if Telekom/streamyx bills also can get it done during weekends - at the kisok?

Penang water bill? If can pay also that would be good with amex.

thanks for any feed back

As to that question about seeing shortened names in MB2U that is normal, i saw it the same but when the card came the name is complete.

Yes, it's actually a gift for Maybank private banking customers, designed for Maybank by Tenmoku Pottery.

If you are interested in the general Tenmoku products, they have branches in KLCC, Central Market and Genting Skyway Complex. Their website URL is www.tenmokupottery.com.my . smile.gif

Tried to use amex in one of the new Petronas station after Sg.Besi toll but can't. Tried at the petrol portal, transaction declined. Went to the counter portal offline =( Looks like I either have to apply the maybank petronas credit card or either change to Shell.

If you always use Petronas, you should get Maybank Petronas Credit Card. Promotion from now until end February 2013, fill up petrol in Petronas is 8x points everyday. Groceries like Carrefour & Tesco also 8x points everyday. Anything else is 5x points everyday. So, in place where Amex is not accepted, I believe this card is the best for now.

For petrol and groceries OCBC would be better (5% > 8x TP which is about 4%) except for the everything-else (5x TP is about 2.5%).

Only advantage for Petronas card would be TP are not capped, OCBC cashback capped to RM50.

But this is getting off-topic liao....
