Guys, I'm starting my initial plan for my Japan trip next year. How much roughly does it cost for a month backpacking over there? I'm planning to visit the whole Japan. Is RM4k enough? Or should I allocate more?

U'll need approx JPY3500/day for ur lodging & food. Multiply that for ur length of stay + transport + ticket etc.

and by reading just the above quote, i wouldn't even recommend anyone try to enter japan without a visa. rclxub.gif

May I add, even people with valid visa may be strictly examined, it's the immigration officer's absolute discretion.

I've seen some people spent 10 mins or longer in front of the counter.

neeed black n white confirmation by japan embassy

yeah, someone rang up the embassy & got the reply that, as of now, applying for visa is still recommended.

actually, M'sia & Japan had a visa exemption agreement years ago. just that during the 90's, a lot of M'sian overstay and/or working illegally in Japan which lead to the current situation.
