I recently lost my laptop and am in market for a new gaming 15 incher. Should I wait for the new model refresh of the Clevo P150EM, or buy one now? I can wait until September before buying one.

AFAIK, Haswell is coming out during that time, how about graphics card model lineups?

Thank you!!

Just received my RS-15 build after COD today.

Primary Hard Disk Drive: 500GB Toshiba 5400rpm SATA3 Hard Drive

Optical Drive Bay: 8X DVD±R/RW/4X +DL Super-Multi Drive & Software
Wireless Network Card: Killerâ„¢ Wireless-N 1202 802.11 A/B/G/N Wireless LAN + Bluetooth 4.0 Combo Module
Operating System: Genuine MS Windows® 7 Professional 64-Bit Edition
Warranty: ILLEGEAR 1 Year Limited Warranty

Swapped the HDD to a 512GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD. Scorching speed from this one!

Fantastic sales service from the Illegear team. They've helped installed the Samsung SSD into the RS-15, installed Windows 7 Pro on it and elaborated on the calibration profile done and how to activate it.

I absolutely love my RS-15, solid built and currently installing Crysis 3 and 3DMark11/13 on it to bench. From AJA speed test, 515-520MB/s on the SSD, I'm plenty happy! rclxms.gif

hello guys.. noob question..

I bought the NP5175 in 2011. its been in tip top condition even until now. Some questions..

1.) Should I update all the drivers downloaded from the Internet like INTEL (HD Graphics 3000,SSD,wifi,etc..) and NVIDIA (GT555M) or just stick to the official drivers provided from Sager?

2.) How do I update it's BIOS?

thanks in advance!

1. You should go Nvidia and Intel sites to download the latest drivers.

2. You can drop an email to support@illegear.com and they will get back to you shortly smile.gif

Thank you, I did just that.. Another question... Any guides to cleaning my laptop (heatsink fan, etc)? It's been 2 years and it desperately need some cleaning. I'm handy with tools but don't want to screw it up...

sager is easy to disassemble. you just need a philips and flathead screwdriver, and you are on the go. smile.gif

turn your laptop upside down, remove the back cover screws and remove the back cover. then you can start cleaning the fans and heatsink.

wow v4, and i haven't been on this topic for quite a while.

ts, can change the illegear site? it returns 404 already, probably better just redirect to illegear main page instead.

anyway, i wonder if I should buy this and upgrade for my np8130, or wait another year and get a new laptop haha : http://www.ebay.com/itm/CLEVO-P150HM-P170H...=item19dabdda10

Hi, I have a sager laptop np8130. I suspect my gpu card nvidia 560m may be faulty cause I can hear sound playing as normal but cannot see anything on my screen. I try connecting to my TV but also blank screen. Sometimes it starts fine but sometimes got only blank screen. Is it really my gpu has issues? If i were to try to replace it, does anyone know the price?

Thanks.

Buy a new one. The card itself cost almost RM 3K. tongue.gif

I think it's time for me to change my laptop. Booting up into Windows 8 at the logo screen, it just shuts down. Removed one RAM and it works fine (had to figure out which one first). Had this issue with other RAM modules as well... this is the 3rd module that I changed. Damn... Not sure what else could be causing the issue though... It happens like every 2 months after I update my Windows.

I thought of that as well, but I'll wait for next year in order to tolak a bit from tax. Anyway I just got a new wifi card, Intel 6235. I wonder if I can just change the wifi card just like that, or does the BIOS has wifi whitelist that it needs to adhere to.

Can you try booting on other RAM slots? Anyway I had my own issues with Win8, it keeps on saying there is error and need to restart after boot. And so happens that my vpn software went wrong, had to uninstall in safe mode. Probably you could try this, but would be a pain in the butt since to enter safe mode, you actually need to login Win8 first, then quickly go to settings to enable safe mode.
