so, my Clevo P177SM-A with GTX870M decided to die on me last week...2 months after warranty expired cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

temps were always good and im fanatical about cooling. so i know i didnt overheat it.

changing to a new card is gonna cost me 2.2k.

was wondering if its actually possible to repair it? any suggestions? or perhaps there is a second hand 870M i can buy?

Both are using the same Clevo barebones with the same components depending on which specification you choose, hence they are technically identical in terms of hardware peformance.

The only difference here is that, is which After sales Service, Brand/Logo, and ultimately the price. There is an Illegear and cyberforge thread here in LYN, just glimpse through and you can have rough idea on which you would prefer.

If you are still keen for the Sager brand, you may check Xotic PC to have a look at their offerings, price wise might be slightly cheaper , but take note on difficulties and extra cost on importing the PC into Malaysia, warranty claims, and recent USD VS RM currency rates.

Ultimately, it depends on which brand sound's better on your clevo barebone ? And which has the better promotion at the time of your purchase, and are you willing to take the extra mile or seek for convenience in maintaining your mobile rig.

Guys, im thinking of buying illegear laptop
So im wondering how are the build quality?
Is it as good and lasting as those brand such ad asus etc?

I am using 1 RX-17 970M SLI for almost a year now. Not a single problem at all. Quite happy with its stability and performance. I just bought another unit D9X with GTX1080+32GB RAM i7 6700 desktop processor. Hopefully can receive it by next few days.
Quality is great so far.

any comment on commnados gaming laptop and its aftersale support?
