QUOTE(big2me @ Jul 11 2012, 01:26 PM) Bro, anyone stratified with Maxis 10Mbps to download QVOD movie ? QVOD movie download can reach up to 1.1MBps, but not single task, but multitask. normally i wont get 1.1MBps for single task, but around 500KBps to 600KBps, but if i multitask, can reach up to 1.1MBps in total.I still hang a leg since they haven't come to install. Unify vs maxis which 1 good.... to download QVOD. |

QUOTE(gogetter83 @ Jul 11 2012, 01:11 PM) my connection no problem. your connection got problem, i'm not saying you are imagining the problem. okok, paham... sorry misintepretation... but i do not see any other message on the event log before or after the "xDSL linestate down" messageFrom what you describe, maxis also being incompetent and not getting back on the solution to you as soon as possible. So, i'm interested to know the detail of the problem, that's why i'm asking you what other error messages you are facing. This is a technical forum, so we discuss on the problem and probably can suggest some solution. If sendiri can solve the problem, at least you don't need to wait for the helpdesk idiots to get back to you right? that's my intention. I couldn't care less about maxis reputation, I only want to get my money's worth from my service. You want that too, right? I'm thinking technical here, the xDSL error message, I too have it, but my connection not affected. So, there's must be other error message that I don't have but you have it. That unique error message could indicate what's the problem in your connection and maybe can fix sendiri instead of waiting for the stupid maxis to get back to you on a solution. I do give hell to Maxis if my router is a problem, I don't want to buy another router to fix the problem. Why should I spend more money to fix a problem that supposedly the responsibility of Maxis? That's why I didn't suggest to replace the router first unless last resort. so how to solve sendiri leh... tan xi wo |

I just applied yesterday and went through the first page for information and found out about the public IP thing that you need to call up Maxis and ask.
Maxis will convert your private IP to the dynamic IP with no extra charge? Cause I need dynamic IP to port forward CCTVs and stuffs. Was thinking of a network setup this way. Any sifu want to clarify that it will be workable? (PS: Landed Property) Fiber from outside (to home exterior wall) --> (FTB?) --> To Living Room (BTU?) --> Living Room contains Maxis Router, DECT phone etc... From Maxis Router/Modem --> LAN Cable --> Linksys WIFI Router (located in 2nd floor back room) --> LAN connection to Desktop PC / CCTV DVR / etc |

Two weeks ago I applied for the Home RM118 10MB promo at Giant Kota Damansara (3rd party Maxis partners). The lady that sign me up told me I just need to wait 1 week for installation, I assume they got some "special connection" inside Maxis, can get my boardband install in 1 week. After 1 week, no one call me, after 2 week still no one call me. After repeating bashing Maxis on Maxis forum, email, Twitter & call centre, I found out today that my application not even being process. Finally someone from Maxis inform me the 3rd party Maxis partner that I register the RM118 with did not submit my documents. I then call up the partner, they said they have submit to Maxis 2 weeks back. Lame argument, blaming each other. I giving Maxis last chance, just went to Maxis Taman Tun register for the RM138 promo, being told latest in 2 weeks time I will get call. The person that register me check my address, mention all is ok. If after 2 weeks still tak ada, going to Unifi for sure. The form mention Maxis 10MB will be cap to 100GB soon, Unifi 10MB already cap to 90GB, so so for both. Lesson learn - DO NOT apply Home boardband at 3rd party Maxis partners, just use them to pay bill & get replacement sim card. |

I have that copy, I did try to make noise just now, but the person told me if I complaint, they will focus on investigating the issue with the 3rd party partner rather than my application.
I will have to wait for the 3rd party partner to submit my documents again to Maxis, even longer waiting time. So the fela just now advice me to complaint to billing department after I get the boardband install, so I will do that. |

Means maxis 3rd party partners really fail in effectiveness, maybe their commission is not lucrative as Unifi, so they also react slower. |
