just my opinion, if want to saves up few bucks, just get the DDR1333mhz, no need 1600mhz, trust me the performance gains only around 1% in real life. laugh.gif

I think is no lo, 1333MHz delay 5-10 seconds(or even more) on boot time and u can survive on 4GB 1600MHz, 4GB 1333MHz will make u crazy....biggrin.gif

but i thought 1600mhz ram and 1333 mhz ram have compatibility issues?some ppl didnt notice bout the ram and bout 4gb 1333mhz ram+the ori 4gb 1600mhz ram, it screwed up the comp so badly and made it slow...

Unless you meant get 8gb of 1333mhz ram.

i do not know about the compability for this laptop as currently i do not have it yet but if 1333mhz and 1600, the system will downclock the 1600 to 1333 to match the lower one. if we put different brand with the original one that comes with the laptop but also 1600, i think it might also have compability issue as the ram timing might be not same with the original one. hmm.gif

I have a 1600 + 1333 RAM. Don't feel any different. 3Dmark11 score of 2700+ and gaming is so sweet. All games run smooth on Ultra or High spec in native res.
So don't worry too much about the RAM if you can't get the 1600 RAM.

if you see at benching scores, for me totally not worth, i saw long time ago got reviews comparing these 2 speeds of ram, almost no performance gains. 7zip benchmark something like that only different 3-4 seconds only. LOL laugh.gif
