QUOTE(cslance @ Jul 25 2012, 10:58 PM) but i would said dun put yourself too hard if the budget tight... the spec for y480 should be good enough to compete with y580...hehe even graphic, screen size and fhd is different but y480 with gt650 did provide the best best price for such high spec in the market. its cool Actually I have the budget to buy Y580 but:1) I don't really need FHD 2) GT650m performance only slightly less than GTX660m 3) I will carry my laptop around. So less weight better. 4) 14" is good enough for me. If you want big screen better buy 27" monitor. 5) I can use the save up money to upgrade the Y480 to SSD. So that's why I pick Y480, worth for the price ^^ Added on July 26, 2012, 12:21 am QUOTE(upmost systems @ Jul 26 2012, 12:18 AM) Any big different with version 34? QUOTE(moshpit21 @ Aug 6 2012, 11:38 AM) Hi I recently bought Y580, and the HDD really does reach 62C in normal use, not when I benchmark / test it with a software. What I did was downloading with uTorrent and also UNRAR some files, HWMonitor showed it peaked at 62C. Change to SSD. Problem solve And I don't know if it is driver problem or hardware problem, I have some graphically tearing when I play some games like PES2012 and Spec Ops The Line, didn't appear when I play Prototype 2, but when I play Prototype 2, sometimes the graphic stuck for few seconds, not the audio, then it will go back to normal again.. My VGA peaked at 69C and idle at 44C, lowest at 40C.. |

QUOTE(kuihbahulu @ Aug 6 2012, 10:57 PM) It never fit it-well this is not the concern, u may get a bigger bag. Of course you can get a bigger bag but the bag I found to fit my y480 + u2 is already very big.. Most laptop back doesn't fit the cooler + laptop because the cooler is too thick.. Only traveller bag fit..The thing is..it slide. your laptop will slide down as you move you hands(especially during gaming) this happens to me as the rubber (bottom laptop) is round. I believe if it is square, no prob. |
