QUOTE(ytlay @ Aug 1 2012, 10:52 PM) Get the external dvd drive usb adapter and use it as external drive as HERE. Garage sales is selling around 2340-2380. Some garage sellers have the shop in Lowyat & also instalment plan. google for it. You can also check at thundermatch, evernew, sri computer & others. 5400rpm I think that external dvd drive usb adapter is same as HDD to USB adapter?

For people who said booting time required long time by using 5400rpm HDD.... If use 7200rpm HDD can less 10 second I think..... of course if use SSD booting time only less than 20 second but no money wei....=.=

QUOTE(nik1993 @ Aug 2 2012, 04:43 PM) the reason i'm in doubt because some guys at this thread state that it is like huge inertia for the notebook to push the momentum. make me thinking twice did u change the HDD? i thought the current HDD comes with 5400 rpm right? erk..hybrid hdd? how much the price? i just wondring 120 gb ssd for around 350-400 is well invested or not probably waiting for 2 more years is much more worthy for 120 gb ssd .. Still no, but maybe wanna consider...lol

QUOTE(amir93 @ Aug 4 2012, 04:01 PM) just my opinion, if want to saves up few bucks, just get the DDR1333mhz, no need 1600mhz, trust me the performance gains only around 1% in real life. I think is no lo, 1333MHz delay 5-10 seconds(or even more) on boot time and u can survive on 4GB 1600MHz, 4GB 1333MHz will make u crazy....

QUOTE(lwtw @ Aug 4 2012, 08:15 PM) I have a 1600 + 1333 RAM. Don't feel any different. 3Dmark11 score of 2700+ and gaming is so sweet. All games run smooth on Ultra or High spec in native res. So don't worry too much about the RAM if you can't get the 1600 RAM. U just insert or already insert long time?

QUOTE(amir93 @ Aug 4 2012, 11:34 PM) if you see at benching scores, for me totally not worth, i saw long time ago got reviews comparing these 2 speeds of ram, almost no performance gains. 7zip benchmark something like that only different 3-4 seconds only. LOL Hmmmm... I tired before by put another 4GB 1333MHz RAM inside my Y480(then become 8GB run with 1333MHz), the time after insert just ok, speed improved, but after a long time, it become slow like hell, boot time need 120-130k ms....
