Hi Guys,
I from Bukit Subang and just bought a sub sale at Clover Park (double frontage) and I hope to get my keys by early October 2012. rclxm9.gif
I hope you guys will add me into the group.

This site is definitely more informative than the FB Denai Alam page and discussions are more current. I also would liek to find out more about :
1. ADT Alarm System. Planning to use the wireless system as I do not want to hack the walls.
2. Looking for contractor. I got a quote from a contractor working there and he seem a little eager and it is getting me worreid. He calls me like every week. Have you guys heard of Stilux. Any one used them are they any good. Their grille work looked quite nice that's why i called them
3. Security concern as teh Ivy/Clover cluster has a very low density and thus am a littl eworried to move in too early. Even if teh alarm goes no on will coe to my aid in case of emergency.
4. Also looking into putting in a Grundfos Pump as the water pressure is relatively low in bathrooms.

As for defects please check your bathroom taps. In my case i turn the tap inmy sink and teh shower coems on. Meed to follow with SD as te hcurrent Owner not doing anything about it.

I hope you guys will keep me in the loop and we can work on Group Buys on stuff

This site is definitely more informative than the FB Denai Alam page and discussions are more current. I also would liek to find out more about :
1. ADT Alarm System. Planning to use the wireless system as I do not want to hack the walls. - There is NO wireless system for ADT. Its all wired. My personal pick is for wired as its more stable compared to wireless. Plus the main reason people go for Wireless is because they don't want to hack their walls BUT for new houses, in spite of the renovations its better to get it wired straight away. I for one will strongly recommend you to go for the wireld type.

2. Looking for contractor. I got a quote from a contractor working there and he seem a little eager and it is getting me worreid.  He calls me like every week. Have you guys heard of Stilux. Any one used them are they any good. Their grille work looked quite nice that's why i called them. - STILUX was the first to approach me. Similar kinda push factor BUT I am going for my own contractor who has done work for me previously.

3. Security concern as teh Ivy/Clover cluster has a very low density and thus am a littl eworried to move in too early. Even if teh alarm goes no on will coe to my aid in case of emergency. - Gotta agree with you on this. Its only fair to wait for the occupancy rate to be healthy enough prior to moving in.

4. Also looking into putting in a Grundfos Pump as the water pressure is relatively low in bathrooms. - GOOD MOVE....I am too looking at the inclusion of a Water Pump.

As for defects please check your bathroom taps. In my case i turn the tap inmy sink and teh shower coems on. Meed to follow with SD as te hcurrent Owner not doing anything about it.

I hope you guys will keep me in the loop and we can work on Group Buys on stuff

Hey Xai-V-iaX,
Thanks for your reply.

Can you also PM your contractors contact. Reason being i am looking for some one who can manage the whole job for me including electrical, wiring , grilles, concrete works .... My contractors now (except for Stilux) say they can do this part but do not want to do certain portions which they will introduce me to their sub cons and this will get messy. I want one guy who can almost do every thing for me so i will not have to run around like a headless chicken and if soemthing goes wrong i only talk to one guy.

As for the alarm system will your contractor do the plastering once the hacking is done? I got a quotation from ADT Sales Rep who quoted me RM 3K plus on wireless system. SO was considerig that until reading this thread. biggrin.gif

As for the pump Grundfos has recomended CM3-5PC. So far only one guy has quoted CM3-5PC + 3M (AP-DWS 1000) water filter promotion package for RM 3.1k

Feedback would b eappreciated.

No disrespect BUT its kinda hard to source for a contractor that is ALL-IN-ONE....even my contractor sub-cons some of his job. To be honest, he doesn't do electrical & Grille/Gate/Steel works. Even for me, he'll tell me what are his boundaries and which work he'll outsource.

Yes, I just got to know that ADT do have Wireless sensors. My mistake, was not aware that there is Wireless Sensors for ADT. RM3k for Clover Park seems quite reasonable? Is yours the Angular, End, Intermediate or Corner Lot? But STILL I will suggest you to go for the Wired Sensors. Was your quote from ADT HQ or Sub-Con?

Yeah i know they Sub Con and make some money from there but at least they give you that option and will supervise teh whole show.

Mine is an intermediate and quoted by HQ. (There will be 2-3 sensors hard wired in the upstairs bathroom to save cost) The guy had the uniform and all smile.gif Only reason i am worried abot the hacking is the paint work might not be the same after plastering sad.gif as i do not plan to paint the house.

BUT remember - Not all Contractors would want to get involved in Sub-Con'ing their work.

If its HQ then usually the price won't be negotiable. I can recommend you my ADT Installer. They are sub-con thus they are very target driven thus they'll be able to give out some discounts on pricing. Let me know if you are keen. Even for my current house there was some difference between the Sub-Con & HQ's quote. I ended up with the sub-con's offer tho' tongue.gif

Crow, you too do find the pressure for water in the upper floor is low. Why is that so any idea anyone?

How about paradox alarm? ADT needs to pay monthly subscription whereas the paradox need not.

It depends on individuals actually....

I for one am OK with additional RM75/month that I pay knowing there is another pair of eyes watching over my property and my family. Some may disagree but some like me wouldn't mind.

At the end of the day its a small fee that I am OK to forgo for a safe nights sleep....

What does ADT do for the additional rm75?
For example if alarm goes off will they send ppl over? Or will their personnel make security round?

Hi Katmai 81,
I live in Bukit Subang (previously a Guthrie Project) The water tank is inside my ceiling quite a distance from the the two bathrooms upstairs. Since there is no height the water pressure is low (like piss) if you use a water heater even worse. So i added a Grundfos pump in 2004. Been using it ever since (once a year service) but have had no problems. Now i am so used to the pressure it will be weird going back to trickle of water. Thats why i am putting in a pump. I am not even sure where the water tank is locacted in clover cluster but the pressure is low. However the bathroom downstairs has better pressure as it has the height necessary for good pressure. WIth the pump even better

Also in Bukit Subang i used Chubb to install the alarm for me. They used a Paradox (hard wired) unit. I have had no problems but i want to try out the ADT's CMS system especially in the first 2-3 years when the density at the new areas are low. Like Xai-V-iaX says another pair of eyes looking after the family. After my 2 year contract with ADT, if the the security conditions improve i may stop it and just use the alarm. Thats my plan smile.gif
Also ADT quoted me RM 3k plus for a wireleess system and have heard that for wireless nothing beats ADT at the moment.

Hey Xai-V-iaX
Thanks will wait for teh call

What I get for the RM75/month is Central Monitoring System.

What you get with an CMS option in the alarms:

- Burglary/Attempted Burglary: In the event there's an disengagement on any of the sensors in my property, ADT will immediately call me first to confirm the trigger, failing to reach the next Contact will be called-in, and at that failure, the local authorities i.e. Police will be informed to check with specific details as to where the trigger came from. The list of trigger points will be in ADT's database. I have instances when there are false triggers because we forgot to DISARM the alarm and I get called up immediately by ADT to check on the trigger specific at that area (e.g. Zone 3)

- Threat of Fire: If you have a smoke sensor, in the event there is a fire, ADT will get the trigger and call up the Fire Department immediately.

- Duress: If thieves/burglars have broken into your home tho' the alarm has been triggered and forces you to DISARM the alarm, you key-in a user specific Duress Code that will DISARM the alarm BUT notify ADT that its DURESS. ADT will in return contact the local authorities i.e. Police to act on it.

- Police Emergencies: If you witnessed an attempted burglary at your premise or any suspicious activities around your house, the Police Emergency button will enable ADT to contact the local authorities i.e. Police to act on it.

- Medical Emergencies: If you have a medical emergency and need an ambulance or medical attention immediately, triggering this button will get ADT to engage Emergency Medical Team to your place immediately.

Take Note: I did not copy paste this from any webpage. This is from my own feedback as an ADT user. Knowing your products/services in detail prior to engaging it is at the discretion of the user themselves.

As I mentioned earlier, some may opt for the 'Stand-Alone' GMS Alarm System and some may opt for the CMS System. Its by need basis. nod.gif nod.gif

For me, its a small amount that I pay knowing that my family are safe and are always watched over. smile.gif

WoW....that sensitive? hmm.gif

Maybe you can try bypassing only the ones that are consistently triggered because of the renovation works.

The Vibration sensors are the 1 making noise, once the neighbours start hammer drilling/hacking, bannng..... there goes the alarm. Weekend will wake me at 8.30am when they start work.

So weekday gotta disarm when going to work during the day.

Best to bypass that particular Zone mate....its better to have other Zones active and alarm armed as compared not at all having it ARMED. I'm sure your door entrance will use magnetic sensors. I use Vibration sensors on multiple-window panels. For all flush door and sliding doors I use the Magnetic sensors.
