Why would this damage the engine? blink.gif blink.gif

Petronas Syntium. You can use other engine oil if you know what you are doing.

i do notice the rev, but then i still usually need to wait for like 2 minute to let the heat lvl go to 2nd 1. the way i park also is head in frist, so everytime i have to reverse. when reverse, the jerk is worst.

Added on June 22, 2012, 8:49 ammorning everyone,

i was wondering, was it all proton CVT based car using clutch converter? (ex. inspira, exora bold, preve)
*
Clutch no need to converter smile.gif its direct torque output. Torque converter is a huge bearing in the conventional AT gearbox, to smoothen power output from flywheel to power train. Detail process widely available in Google.

1 minute max smile.gif thought thermostat jammed 9 jor, flushed radiator tank and thermostat also not too rusty laugh.gif

Not sure abt CVT, but any other EFI car should start & drive gently while warming up instead of let it idle to avoid carbonize nod.gif below 2krpm, wear & tear basically not much different.

Will try it and see, and i didnt go measure the rev how high, just can feel is lower during day time, morning 1st start is higher.

as for wear and tear. =_= ntg is worst than the drum brake still giving me that sound, although is less and not so often already. but still annoyed the hell out of me when i switch my radio off.

when reverse try not to press the accelerator.. it will move slowly and up to speed..
unless it's too steep.. that will also warm-up the cvt.

and to drive forward, try gradual pressing on accelerator
if u release it then that's when it jerk.. if u let it move forward itself also good
but slower

sometimes when getting out of parking at mall, it will usually rev higher coz u want to move fast = deeper accel pedal
the best still slow and steady

Well, since it's a new car, I would prefer to exchange with a new car also sweat.gif Obviously, some top up would be involved, was discussing with my SA that RM1k top up from the FLX Exec owner, now wondering if I offered too low. doh.gif

laugh.gif Not like I'm some car critique, seriously, I need to compare the stock tail lamps and also the smoked tail lamps on the maroon body to get a second opinion. Tail lamps isn't a priority to go, the seats definitely are, leather is Malaysian weather is really sweat.gif

Guys, update on my flx se, the drum brake changed a new 1, then it was the same again after 2 weeks. making me suspect they didnt change it.

now is about 2 months, the sound is still there, plan to go other service centre when i am free.

Now got some problem is, morning when i start my car, it is always need to wait till 2 square of heat level only can drive smoothly without jerking/choking. Anyway to improve this?

RM800 is not that expensive actually, cheaper than I thought.

That said, someone commented in my blog that changing to disc brakes will require JPJ inspection and approval.

Well for one, my drumbrakes are quiet now, so I am a happy camper for now.

Maybe they have done some improvements to their production line.
