Evo mana ada use same chassis? Sometimes automakers will still name their chassis closely to their predecessor, like Evo it starts from CD9A (E1), then CE9A (E2 & E3), CN9A (E4), CP9A (E5 & E6), CT9A (E7,8,9) and finally CZ9A (E10).

Even the new R35 GT-R although is the continuation of the legendary 1990s Nissan Skyline GT-R series (R32-R24), it doesn't share the same chassis. Its chassis is unique and therefore it has a different name to it. CBA-R35. Older Skyline GT-R are BNR3x

And the dugong doesn't have any family. LOL
It was created to slot into the market in the early 2000s when the Corolla has grown big and became more expensive. It doesn't have any deep roots like its Corolla big brother.

Thanks for inputing the rest, as I previously mentioned PARTIAL truth.

I know BNR series from NIGGAN smile.gif All built for GT purpose! UNsurprisingly, Cefiro A31 can accommodate the entire body of R31 laugh.gif this is another partial truth of using old chassis to produce newer model vehicle? hmm.gif (No comment, just my own opinion)

Dugong family is a myth to me, as I stop playing with TOYOGA since 2004, not following anymore. Again, thanks for updating. Love thy AE series old corollas.

Thanks again V12k for the great input.

platform sharing wink.gif

The R31 Skyline shares the same platform with Nissan Laurel. The Skyline are meant to be a more sporty saloon while the Laurel is the one with more wood and velvet. When the Asian market in need of a new big saloon to battle the camry and accord the Skyline doesn't suit most of the buyer profile (old, mustache, you imagine), so Nissan just take the laurel, "cheapskate it" and put in a slightly sportier body to become the A31 Nissan Cefiro.

Wuakakakakakkakaka laugh.gif now that explained everything. Meaning that indeed A31 evolved from the R31, which inconjunction also platform sharing with the taxi Laurel laugh.gif In order to tackle market, same platform developed different type of vehicle to supply market demand, for example:

Late 70's Laurel(widely turned into yellow+black roof taxi back in 90's), more of a president type of elegance executive mersilis knockoff for 50 year old pakcik

Early 80's, motor sports roaring and R30 was born(didn't know it took chassis from Laurel). Stuff in new engine, strip off the velvet+wooden interior, shed off few kg and make it a touring car!

Late 80's, after petrol crisis, no choise but to take off the powerful motor and replace with old propeller in-line 6 engine on the same platform. Again strip bear the R31/Laurel taxi and made it a fancy brand new Cefiro laugh.gif

Correct my statement if I put it in a wrong manner blush.gif Demit you know a lot of motorsport stuff before you born wei. TQVM on the useful info.

P/S: my Iswaga chassis is C21A - is a Lancer 1977 Racing Spirit! Sagria is PL1C, Colt/Mirage/Lancer! Lancer 2001 is CT9A, Ebo6 Tommy Makinen Edition also same. Buying Plotong Fira is like buying an Ebo with a small engine plonked in blink.gif Thanks for bring this matter up, for the 1st time I learn sooooooo many things in the thread :hail:

The last time I did pest control was few years ago. Spray ubat anai-anai on the carpet, left the car window shut over night. Next day found all sorts of creature die outside laugh.gif cocroach la,lizard la, bugs la, many other things. But the car had to send for steam wash if not can't drive, the fume can kill me also. Overall, damn satisfied with RM15 cost of pest control icon_idea.gif until today nothing invade my ISWAGA anymore nod.gif
