First of all, I'm not a doctor Anyhoo, faiting is the probably least of your worries. A lot of medical students actually suffer from depression and anxiety. Both from the expectations to do well (most of my colleagues were top scorers in SPM and arent used to being "average" in class) and not knowing what comes next after finishing their degree (6 months - one year of unemployment). Then there's financial issues if you're not sponsored and what happens if you suddenly lose interest but spent a few hundred Ks already... and add to that, the pressure to pay PTPTN loan after graduation.
I think malignant consultants are scarier than blood
If you have time, do read up Do No Harm by Henry Marsh, When the Air Hits Your Brain by Frank T. Vertosick Jr. and Complications by Atul Gawande.
And find out more about other area that dont require much hands-eye coordination such as dermatology, radiology, endocrinology, infectious disease, psychiatry, rehab medicine, sports medicine, medical genetics, occupational medicine, clinical research, hospital admin, public health etc.
