^ if not PR, foreigners need > 60K to apply for credit card right ? Just use a debit card instead. DBS Visa debit seems OK, can buy online, etc without issue. Heard some debit cards cannot online transaction ?

Not all cards require 60k per annum.
DBS live fresh is one if I am not mistaken.
However, by default, banks will want to promote their "popular" cards which requires the 60k per annum req. sweat.gif sweat.gif

is it better to apply a CC there even if you already had 1 locally?
shouldn't the charges be more or less the same?

i say yes.
but it depends on whether u have self control or not.
there are perks that entitles u to different privileges by different banks.
furthermore, there is no government tax here.
there is also the issue of conversion rate which u will be imposed every time you swipe (which may not be that attractive)

If the interviewer hears you referring to them as a mid-term firm, no way.

If you refer to them as a mid-tier firm, yes.

those advertised requirement for CC just bullsh1t. if you have DBS/POSB account, apply CC online and high chance you will get it.

I applied AMEX Black (req $48k) and Altitude Visa Signature (req $80k), both approved less than 12 hours and received within 36 hours lol

Are you even in the correct thread? this thread is about "working in singapore," i.e. "locally" would mean "in Singapore."

If you are saying you are already working in Singapore and wondering if there are any downsides to using your Malaysian credit cards here, the FX rate/spread you get is pretty sh*tty.
