QUOTE(seantang @ Jun 12 2012, 04:35 PM) Where exactly is "there" and where is "locally"? Added on June 12, 2012, 4:37 pmIf the interviewer hears you referring to them as a mid-term firm, no way. If you refer to them as a mid-tier firm, yes. I'm sorry about the typo error. Glad that you replied to me. Thanks for the info .

QUOTE(seantang @ Jun 12 2012, 11:14 PM) Typo here no harm. Don't typo your CV or cover letter or any correspondence with them. Sure KNS. still long way to go , now just doing internship with a mid tier firm . btw , any comment on internal audit ? . does it provide good prospect as compared to external audit ?. currently in audit department , but for future i might not limit myself only for audit as i see there are so many choice in accounting line ,( advisory , tax , audit , internal audit) sorry about that it is getting out of topic.

QUOTE(alaskanbunny @ Jun 13 2012, 01:04 AM) the best so far is stan chart... they open for free, comes with credit cards... with free $$$ ($160) and balenciaga pen too... depending on your company's relationship... internal audit is mostly business process audit... usually to detect fraud external audit is mostly financial reporting... usually for compliance and irregularities.. there's also process audit i would say external audit have more structured learning & promotion... when u give up, u can be an accountant... if u hav pro. cert. for internal audit if u leave u can be a consultant... at those advisory firms/big 4 first thing first... if u manage to be an accountant fresh out of school then good... r you doing ur internship in sg? thanks for the reply , after reading those , i got a clearer picture now . i m currently doing my internship at malaysia .

QUOTE(LYR @ Jun 13 2012, 10:17 PM) mid-tier in SG should be paying around S$2.3k-2.4k for a fresh graduate. big 4 10-20% more whereas small firm 10-20% lesser. thanks bro, you are in audit line also ? . the high conversion rate influence me the most to go to sg , at here big4 pay 2.8 i guess , ch pay 2.8 ( sis in there) , grand thorton pay 2.7 (friend in there)

QUOTE(LYR @ Jun 13 2012, 10:40 PM) yes. i'm in audit but only small firm. didnt manage to join big firm. pressured by high inflation across the country, SGD will appreciate again RM provided that RM remains stagnant. still small firm will give you great understanding too
