Lolz, don't treat this as the type of asian monk we know, ya know the abstain from many kind of things monk.

The monk in D3 is more akin to the Air monks in Avatar:Last Airbender, mainly can make children XD

i made female monk too but hate the russian accent.

the roundhouse kick really useful.

guys what combinations are you using on your left/right click skills?

I'm using crippling + lashing tail + transcendence (for heals).. found out not only I'm dealing badass AOE dmg, I'm also tanking like a bawse..

I've equipped myself with atk speed and life leech......

same... me lvl 11 now... waiting for wave of light...
crippling is quite imba if you got hight Attack speed ...

me female monk level 35 now.

m1 deadly reach, 3rd strike +50% armor for 4 seconds rune
m2 chuck norris roundhouse kick

1 heal, +15% dmg for 45 seconds rune
2 dash, flying kick rune
3 mystic ally, morphling (water) rune
4 dodge mantra, armor rune

enchantress
1 push
2 armor
3 damage over time?
3 increased attack speed

passive
1 transcendence - every point of spirit spent heals for xxx life
2 seize initiative - armor is increased by 100% of dexterity
3 guardian's path - dual-wielding, +15% dodge (i duel wield)

hmmm. so far,

dodge 40%, 50% for 3 seconds when activate mantra
armor reduce dmg by 50%+ and 60%+ when attacking

dps 700+

hmm i think that's about it so far.

wat abt ur item?

do ur focus on + dex item or + vitality?

mainly dex oh. vit also.

health about 2.2k at the moment due to wearing some crappy high vit armor chest piece.

dex i think 600+ ?

lvl38 monk.. lvling in nightmare now..
for me monks are too fragile.. i died like 7 times on diablo (normal)..
prolly i need more vitality.. health too low..
btw... monk can get up to 52% dodge

haram jadah kuat gile...die about 5 times if im not mistaken..the burning flame dem annoying..

Monk like not much ppl using, not much build on this other then Deimos's build.

one downside of monk is have to fight for gear with demon hunter, the class most ppl play.

so far Monk is pretty fun to play!

Monk become one of the hated classes (no weapon attack animation) to one of the more well-loved ones I see

started as female monk...funny lar use fist attack but carrying sword and shield..

me 2 female monk... but....... her voice... i dont like la..

wahh fun to use. I just had a quick game after dinner, finished Act II with the level 24 monk easily.

monk is hated by other class becos alot of knockback skill >< my fren keep ask me don knockback..

m1 - thousand island palm or whatever.
m2 same, with rune.



1 heal
2 dash
3 seven point whatever
4 the one with wind to do damage.



same for enchantress but 2 levels only, can't remember skill



1 i think same
2. i take the increase SP by 100% so i can roundhouse kick more often with mobs
3 ehhh i donno i have yet or not, i think not yet.

weapon wise I dual-wield.

willing to go for lower DPS weapon for those with more stats boost that give better total HP.

my equipment and accessories are focused on +exp.

solo i find la, very nice to knock back.

i don't use function #2 (rush) and the skills in generally.

i use the seven point donno whatchamacallit vs mobs. after whack already he'll be at center. the moment the skill is over, do a roundhouse push everything.

donno die how many times testing out skill.

i think my LOL time was when I was testing out weaker weapon and come by Act I boss.

oh, i focus my gear on +dex, +vit and +dmg if possible lulz.

if re-do certain boss quest for fast exp and gold trolololol

i.e.

normal difficulty:
act 2 black mage - 10k exp 1k gold
act 3 ozymodan - 40k exp 2k gold

oh can like that ah? hehe. i just want to fast fast finish story la.

yeah. bcos my monk cannot beat act 2 end act boss belial. he kept killing my monk.

i rage then i go farm act2 black horadim mage quest again and again.

ehh i beat Act 2 end boss very easily at lvl 24. 1 try only, never die also. keep whacking away only. my DMG at that time is about 67 or 77 only. health about 1.3k.

in fact other earlier bosses killed my character. some minion mobs also did. Act I boss also nearly killed my character many times. Belial on the other hand was just brainless, literally!

fuuuuu maybe my life not high enuf that time.
was about 900ish only.

belial's bombing run attacks often one hit ko my monk.

unlike normal RPG where you pump your own stats, D3 stats are default, so only our luck (and decision) with weapons and accessories determines our fate.

btw.......... why your Monk run around?

oh btw before i started using morphling (water) mystic ally i was using rufus body fat suction move.

i would,

1. flying kick in (dash + flying kick rune)
2. body suction them in
3. chuck norris roundhouse kick them away


tapi now i just use normal attack saja lulz.
the "deadly reach" with +50% to armor rune.

then further boost damage +15% for 45 seconds with healing spell.

i love sweeping wind and mantra of evasion..dodge dodge dodge

body suction thingy, i try until i die. LOL. didn't like it la. prefer use seven point + roundhouse.

^ yeah i swapped out the body suction for mystic ally.

love the female morphling at the moment. she turns into tidal wave like morphling one lulz.

hrmm. my last 2 attempts with Belial fail. Probably because Enchantress not around.

You're doing it wrong.. if I'm partying, I'll use cyclone to suck in a bunch of mobs. Spams AOE and finished the mobs with full hp . I'll only use lashing tail on bosses or to cancel mobs with channeling skills. It'll interrupt their channeling.

And if you have 'Transcendence' passive, spam lashing tail to heal rapidly.

Monk = AOE crowd control, buffer, healer, tanker - if you're built correctly and a good player of course

Added on May 18, 2012, 12:10 amI just did Belial with a DH & a WD. DH is always the first to die. WD next. They thought the green circles on the ground are for show, they didn't even try to dodge them poison explosions..

Demon hunter/ Witch Doctor la

once you level 26.. forge on fist (which damage is quite high)...
and focus to +dex, most my equipment got +dex , many time belial try to hit me. it miss a lot (or is it because serenity skill?)
also have some +vit item so that when healed, can hold up before the cool down complete.
Not sure if you are lucky or not, for my case I found amulet or ring that add bunch of vit or dex (20~30) which is helpful.

here some share for the state.. not sure if its good or not though

my current lvl32 monk

basically use Cyclone Strike to draw in, Breath of Heaven for damage and healing, Sweeping Kick for massive AoE DoT, Crippling Wave for damage/speed reduction and AoE attack, and Lashing Tail Kick for interrupt.

Using Chant of Resonance, Guardian Path and Seize the Initiative

So far I have 50% damage resistance, 35.5% dodge and 463.55 damage and around 2.4k hp unbuffed

my lv51 monk stat, before hell mode im actualy a dual wield attk speed build, now using this 2h weap for the lol ...
the dmg is after the healing dmg buff , good buff !

well, i still dont know the pro and cons of using daibo vs dual wield.. but still happy with my current set

currently lv51 ... 2.8k damage after buff using fist weapon ... whats the use of daibo ? how u rack up to 4000damage ...omg

my monk lv 24.. currently my build is

left mouse: crippling wave (1st rune) / way of hunred fist (1st rune) for boss
right mouse: cyclone strike (1st rune)

1st slot : BoH
2nd slot : sweeping wind
3rd slot : Mystic Ally
4th slot: evasion mantra

the gameplay is i use cyclone strike to suck all nerby enemies and use sweeping wind while hitting with crippling wave to gain total AoE.. and change to single hit for boss fight

now im think whether i should focus on MF item on the run or just equip the best i can get
