i owned a few ASUS phone before, but i ditched ASUS because of their product support policy. Ever since they made garmin phone, they decided to stop supporting some older models although for me it wasn't that old (P565 less than one year old). no software updates even if phone buggy and sure enough soon afterwards the phone brokedown. ever since then, i'm telling myself, ASUS isn't worth the money.

i have always a sneaky feeling on their warranty services and this thread kind of proving that they do have a bad customer/warranty service.

For anyone looking for peace of mind, i recommend dell. i've got 3 dell laptops altogther for the past 7 years. not all defect free but the warranty service is indeed first class. on the spot whereever you are (they will come to you) and repair will take 1-2 hours. never had any issue claiming warranty. just make sure you opt for 3 years instead of one year warranty.

I was going to consider Asus but now seeing not only one or two commented that Asus after sales service is so bad, I would go for Dell for my next laptop most probably.

There was an issue with N55 graphic driver last time, and users created quite a fuss in that page. Soon enough, new drivers were ready. Maybe can give Asus Malaysia a wake-up call.

i have two Asus laptops atm, both had problems. I sent mine to the local service centre (K. Kinabalu) and came back satisfied. Guess the quality of service depends on the centre itself.

If I remembered correctly, the issue was with the N45
Asus did release a fix for the GPU issue (after a few tries), but Asus also disable posting on their page as well

This thread is the MAIN reason why I'm afraid of getting an Asus ZenBook and will probably opt for a XPS 13 instead even though its a whole lot more expensive...

i was once attracted by Zenbook..till now still attracted...Design wise i lov zenbook the most.. especially when ivy bridge comes for it.. but then seeing and hearing and experienced myself how their service, better skip them...i don wan to experience fighting with them again like last time...

I agree. Asus is making great and durable notebook and I never have any problem with my asus laptops (to be precise, 5 of them). I also observed all my friends who got asus notebook and all of them are happy users. It is very unfortunate to get a problematic asus. Half of the time, its user's fault. The best thing about asus is it gives two years warranty, indicating that their notebooks are reliable. dont let the bad experience haunt you. have more confident with Asus. As for the service centre, please read the thread and improve from here.

Secondly,From what I read it seems like a good case for Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna Malaysia. Any victims tried reporting them?
