Thanks. When the head hunter call me, he didn't ask for my expected salary. But I did enquire what is the range the client willing to give.

I got one question:
EA statement or BE form both show our percentage of EPF or income tax charged per month or per year, if interviewer wants, he/she can really go and calculate and can estimate how much is our salary per month also.

So there is no difference if you show your pay slip or not.

If you dont want to furnish documents that reveals your pay, that is your prerogative. If they dont want to interview you without these documentation it is their prerogative too.

My question is, my initial intention is not revealing my salary to HR as I don't feel comfortable in doing so, and I take payslip as my P&C document, so isn't showing EA or BE form is just the same as you show monthly salary slip?
*
yes...showing EA or BE form is just the same as you show monthly salary slip...just in case you don't have payslip...the EA or BE form can be used to serve the same purpose....

anyone here know that if 1 day...the company that we went to interview hired us...do they able to check our previous emploment epf contribution?

You can check it yourself. Those days employers can check. I am not sure if they can still do it because people are now more aware of privacy issue.

What major factors that will determine your decision to sign your work contract with NEW firm? Can u rate them by listing in order?

1) The Work Place (furniture, staff appearance , cleanliness etc)
2) The Boss Attitude towards you ( during interview process)
3) The Salary and Benefits
4) The Company Reputation
5) The Boss Gender
6) Distance
7) Job Function

you may put your own option if not listed here.

yes...better be honest on the current salary issue...i'm considering the consequences.....if the company that we went to interview hired us...and if they are able to check our previous emploment epf contribution...then v r in big trouble if they find out ur stated salary no match with the info u provided during the interview....

that y need to know...are they able to check our previous emploment epf contribution? need to take into consideration....

Age: 3x old man
1. Stable and secure(more for family man with alot of commitments)
2. Salary
3. Boss Attitude(if the boss is bad, no future there)
4. Opportunity to grow
5. Job Functions
6. Workplace
7. Distance
8. Company reputation(if it is bad, i think we wont apply, right?)

I never want to cheat them also, i don't mind they check my EPF but I am just thinking why the HR never pay someone according to his/her ability but according to his/her last drawn salary? That's unfair..
If i tell them my last drawn salary no matter how they will push down my expected salary 'gao gao'....

1) The Boss Attitude ( I think if the boss always the problem or hostile, no matter what salary u get also no point.)
2) Salary and Benefit
3) Company Reputation
4) Distance
5) Work Place and Environment
6) Opportunity to grow is really depend on the outcome of the Boss, if he is the one taking all the credits, than it's time to go.

Had to go through all of those test in the banking, consulting and even manufacturing sector. A good interview process will definitely cover that irregardless of the sector so it all boils down to the firm.

Added on August 19, 2011, 11:47 amIn regards to the question about why companies ask or your previous pay slip and you all are saying why should the company offer you a new pay based on your previous pay, please also look at it from the company's perspective.

First of all, why should a company pay you more if you are applying for a job with a similar job description? Also if a company is offering you more pay, they are also making a gamble that it assumes you should be able to perform at that pay level.

Because over here if you jump jobs and do exactly the same thing, you are expected to be paid 30% more. that is the candidate mindset.

I guess this does apply for certain type of skill sets. I do know that SAP consultants to get around 30-40% increase because of the high demand for those skills.

1) The Boss Attitude ( I think if the boss always the problem or hostile, no matter what salary u get also no point.)

Some of them would want to verify the documents meaning that you should them both but they will of course keep the photocopy and they will chop it to verify the copy. Just give them a call to confirm if they require it.
