They always asked your previous job salary and i feel its a confidential thing and have nothing to do with them . Some is hiring base on previous job salary but i believe if they want the person more than that , they shouldnt be worrying about the previous job salary.

How to answer them back politely or else they think we keep a tight secret. in our resume, should we leave it blank on the previous job salary ? I only wrote the expected salary.

What major factors that will determine your decision to sign your work contract with NEW firm? Can u rate them by listing in order?

1) The Work Place (furniture, staff appearance , cleanliness etc)
2) The Boss Attitude towards you ( during interview process)
3) The Salary and Benefits
4) The Company Reputation
5) The Boss Gender
6) Distance
7) Job Function

you may put your own option if not listed here.

1) The Boss Attitude ( I think if the boss always the problem or hostile, no matter what salary u get also no point.)
2) Salary and Benefit
3) Company Reputation
4) Distance
5) Work Place and Environment
6) Opportunity to grow is really depend on the outcome of the Boss, if he is the one taking all the credits, than it's time to go.

do u guys prefer to reveal your expectation salary when the interviewer ask direct question like What is your expectation Salary? Will you pause and rather ask them back what's their expected salary for your qualification and work the increment from that benchmark?

i thought so since it's better for the interviewer to reveal their budget out base on the qualification and the work they need to have it complete end of the day. do u think it's a good idea to ask for a copy of job function first before agreeing to any salary first or make a better evaluation before accepting a job. u know malaysian culture may flip flop one.. once accepted a job, u could even be the person who need to wash the toilet every week.
