Hi,

I'm looking at this model Electrolux EWF 12033 10kg washer &
EDH3497RDW 9kg heat pump dryer

Any review on this products?
I'm planning to stack dryer on washer using either of the following

1. stacking kit
2. concrete top
3. plywood cabinet

I'm not sure if stacking kit can support the weight of this dryer though. Which option is better? Can anyone share your experience?

Thanks

There's a original Electrolux stacking kit (with drawer) that supports the dryer. But of course, concrete top is the best option.

Are you using this model? Does the stacking kit come with the dryer itself or need to purchase seperately? Can you share?
Also, if i put it on the concrete top, is it stable? The dryer won't shake and fell?

I was told by Electrolux that the heat pump dryer is too heavy to be stack on top your washer. Dunno true or not though.

This stacking kit was recommended by Electrolux's customer service when I asked about it. Yeah, my dryer fits into it nicely.

The dryer is quite stable, rare shakes. So putting onto concrete slab would be fine. If you can, try to make indentation at the 4 point where the studs would be, so they are interlocked.

Attached was the email replied by Electrolux Malaysia. So if the dryer fell after using the kit, sue them.

Only thing is if you read the dryers manual, they do recommend stacking kits so I dunno who to believe

Great, thanks!

May i know how's the performance of the dryer? Does clothes shrink/colour fade after dried using over long period of time?
And where did you get the stacking kit from? from electrolux dealer?

Thanks

Clothes shrinking is not the fault of dryer. Don't use too hot setting.

Contact Electrolux Malaysia. I think I've stated this above.

Pause and loosen then then continue. Probably the clothes all stuck at 1 side of the drum. Very common for top load.

Thanks! But why would the washer shipping bolts even be there in the first place? read through the manual, but no mention of these parts...

--------------------

To confirm, the risk of fire would not be high in operating this machine right? All the while using washing machine only, hahaha so my fear is legit!

Removing your shipping bolts is important and most manufacturers will explicitly state the bolt removal process it the installation instructions included with your washer. Severe damage to the unit can happen if the washer is ran for long periods with the shipping bolts installed and most manufacturers do not cover damage caused by this under warranty.
check it AGAIN BEFORE YOU USE, or call the Seller . TQ!

today electrolux technician came to fix my dryer's door so i asked him about heat pump type. he says not recommended to stack heat pump type dryer and if need to fix it, owner will have to get their own people to bring it down before they can fix it. The tech from electrolux will not carry it down to the floor if needed. Its too heavy!
