Good to know. What's the model of the SQ dryer and how does it perform? It's not much different than a regular vented dryer then?
*
Model no ADLE9B gas dryer and I would say the performance is very good. It has a very huge drum size and the average drying time for 7-8kg of load is between 30-40minutes. Consumption wise, noticeable lower than condenser/vented dryer. Conclusion, very efficient machine, fast and cheaper running cost.

Been using this LG F1450DPRE Washer Dryer for more than 6 months but less than a year.

So far so good, and it does what it supposed to do.

Attached Image

Since this is not a cheap machine, I will have to make sure this machine is well taken care of, for its longevity.

I installed a water pre-filter on my washer dryer water inlet, so that the filter can reduce any sedimens presents in the water.

Attached Image

For the drain, I installed this blue little plastic thing that I bought from Taobao, to prevent any smells and insects coming from the drain and enter my washer dryer.

Attached Image Attached Image

Recently I have a chance to capture the power consumption for my washer dryer with my power meter purchased from Taobao.

Here are my observation:
Power switched on at plug, but without turning on the washer dryer (Standby Power): 0.0W to 0.4W
Washer dryer switched on, idle: 7.8W to 8.0W
Filling up water: 13.8W
Spinning @ 1400 RPM with drain pump operating: 380W to 400W

Power factor when idling: 0.26
Power factor while washing: 0.64

A complete "Quick 30" cycle with spinning cycle adjusted to 1400RPM, that lasted 35 minutes, uses 66W in total.

Attached Image

Tub Cleaning cycle that lasted around 75 minutes, uses 864W in total.
Tub cleaning cycle uses more power due to water heating, that draws around 2.2kW/h of power.

Attached Image

Till next time.

Thanks. You save me sometime from checking the WM consumption. biggrin.gif

Using similar WM. Didn't use watt meter to check as the WM user higher power (3kw) and the wall plug between WM gap too small.

Want to know what is the full load, cotton mode washing consumption. That standard washing.

No problem.
I will post my finding when I have chance using the cotton cycle, and also other cycles.
Definitely no data for full load because I don't have 10kg of clothes to wash biggrin.gif

Don't think can get this exact water pre-filter from Lazada.
If you prefer to shop for water pre-filter locally, you may consider suggestion from advocado to purchase the Panasonic External Washer Filter.
Anyway, this pre-filter is no longer on sale in Taobao because they have new model. Here is the link.
https://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?id=552128455083
The pre-filter itself is around RM35 without shipping fee, and the cartridge is around RM10 each without shipping fee.

This washer dryer will automatically run the dry cycle if you set it before run. It will go through wash, rinse, spin then dry.
The dry cycle needs water supply, so don't turn off the water supply for dry cycle.

For the blue plastic drain thing, I did not find out if local online shopping has it, but it will be good if someone import from China and resell it.

That time I bought from my local electrical shop around RM 3.8k if not mistaken.
But according to LG website, this washer dryer is discontinued. If you really want this model, maybe you got to find which shop still keep old stock.

You have to know both of the drain pipe size.
It depends on what washing machine you use and how big your house drain pipe is.
Best is to measure your own and get the size that suit yours.
The taobao website got state which selection suit what drain pipe size, if you know reading Chinese.

I use Taobao official direct shipping service to ship that blue plastic thing to my doorstep, normally will reach your doorstep within 10 days after order placed if no delay.
On how to order from Taobao, I will not cover this here as it is out of this topic of discussion.

Thanks. Maybe I'll go with avocado's suggested one.

The 1 you using, can replace the filter without dismantling the whole thing, right? The newer one looks troublesome when replacing filter. Need to unscrew 2 places and not transparent.

Both old and new model you only needed to unscrew one place to change the filter.
The old model is total transparent, but the new model is like 40% to 50% transparent.

Done with "Mix" cycle, which has 40 degree celcius of water while washing.
The 85 minutes of "Mix" cycle consumed 244 Wh.

Hi, anyone can give comment about heat pump dryer? How effective is the electricity saving compare to condense dryer? Not too sure is it a worthwhile investment, currently my house use dryer daily.

To dry a full load clothes , how much time it need?
I m still in dilemma whether to shoud get separate unit for washer dryer or combo.
