Your model is same as mine, it works very great on drying but mine start failed recently...May I ask if if you have any removable filter on heat exchanger? Actually in user manual there is a step show removing filter from heat exchanger but I checked with shop they say don't have in their unit too. Let me know if your unit is same too.

Also do you found water accumulate in heat exchanger area? Because mine start not working probably now there are water flooded in heat exchange area and water container seems contain a lot less water compare before. Plan to call service man to check this week

I own the 9kg model. Get warranty extension if you could, just to have peace of mind.

Electrolux 9kg dryer's motor always spoil. Bearing sound, too often. So just stay away from that model, unless you get 5 yr warranty coverage.

As for consumption, if RM5/usage. If average you use 1 time every day for a month you'd be paying RM150 just for dryer. I think it's not too bad. But if self service laundry is cheaper, maybe can consider that option for the trade off of convenience.

Have a 6 years old vented dryer.

Speed ...debatable these days. Condenser for sure slowest of the three. Modern heat pumps get very close to Vented dryers nowadays but price also 4 to 5 times the price of a vented dryer.

Exhaust pipes aren't necessarily needed, majority of vented dryers in Malaysia usually will have literal vents in the front (see circled part in image)



But there are vented dryers that have back vents and that will usually need an exhaust duct (example: the well-known and reliable Toshiba TD-H80SEM, can see here: https://youtu.be/xDUWQWKg3k0 )

This also means that if you don't have a yard and you don't get exhaust pipes, you'll get hot air pumped into the house.

My condo has a covered yard area and I usually have to close the yard door when the dryer is running to prevent the heated air going in the main unit.

If your condo is the kind with no yard and cannot route exhaust pipes outside, it's recommended to use heat pump or condenser dryers.

Hi All, I never use dryer before. Would like to buy for my new house.
Survey that got Vented, Heat pump and condenser type. Which one is recommended?
Do I need special or dedicated socket or can loop from other socket? thanks.
