Sad to realize that skybridge is closed as I'm planning to visit Langkawi on April. Is there a good location where we are still able to snap few photo of the bridge (since it is closed)?

you can still visit other parts of the platforms... the bridge is just part of the attraction..

The round platform in one of those photos isn't part of the bridge right?

Thanks zstan. Since many people recommended renting a car, I suppose parking won't be a problem in Langkawi right? I'm thinking to visit Pulau Payar as part of itinerary, any idea where would be the convenient place for parking nearby the jetty?

parking is not a problem in langkawi, either in cenang or kuah. rarely have traffic jam too

jetty there got car park, where you can park your car. for my case, i bought my pulau payar tix together with the same shop that rent me the car, so i just left my car to them before the trip, after trip just get back the car biggrin.gif

Remember to check your car condition before accept the car! Don't be conned by some car rental agents. Later they blame you that the car got crack or scratches when your return the car.

Stayed there before. Not too bad. Only a bit hot when u return in the afternoon or evening. Need to blast the aircon for 10 minutes.
Got mcD directly opposite, and red tomato is just outside thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

How was your personal experience with the hotels? Room clean or not? Got weird smell or not? I don't mind staying at "cheap" hotels as long as it is clean. Read some reviews saying that the noise levels there is quite high. Is that true in your case?

Anyone stayed at Resorts World Langkawi before?

Please verify whether they are legal or illegal to rent cars.. Support service incase car breakdown..

I din think about it legal or not when i rent. Innova 3D2N CNY week rm350 (at jetty) versus rm560 (online).
Just when i return the car only notice is a illegal car. I do ask the person, they say legal will be not so cheap at this timing.

Condition of the car is very good.

1) rent car at kuala kedah jetty
2) pay for it
3) arrive at langkawi only to noticed that the car is in bad condition
4) nothing can be done
5) ?????
of course you can say the car you get is in superb condition, but why take the chances that will spoilt your holiday?  at least when in langkawi u can demand to see the car 1st before pay
*
Really depending on luck. i rent at the last counter inside the jetty.

anyone here stayed in Chogm Villa 4208, Langkawi before? It's a 3 bedroom apartment. Is it clean?

Please suggest any other hotels/aprtment/villa that can accomodate 5 adults and a toddler. Preferably near the beach and has a swimming pool facilities.

Thank you in advance.

LIMA event is held every two years.. The previous LIMA event is held during the school holidays in the month of December.. This year 2013, the organiser decided to bring forward the event to March before the general election..
