Out of curiosity, I set the air cond temperature to 24. I still got 31.7km/l for a distance of 20km, only slightly poorer than my normal rate of 32-34km/l for my PJ - Shah Alam trip. Outside temperature was 29C this morning.
What temp do you normally set it? Are you also using eco mode and setting a particular speed or do you press auto?

Wah... EV mode can bump up your mileage that high ar? I mean, just charging the battery to use it is also quite hard here on malaysian roads...
Yeah, using EV at appropriate moments can give you crazy mileage, but definitely Malaysian roads are crippling our performance. I try though not to use EV as much as it approaches near 3rd bar and just charge it up by then.

hmm i wont use short trips to gauge, i gauge by full tank usage. means i pump full.
then i set trip A to 0
after that when the cruising range is about 20km left, i pump full again.
Then i take the KM travelled divide by litres pumped, and compare wif the MID info.
As a result, on a per tank basis i am getting 21.5 km/L thereabouts.
Nowaday i dun care fc, i just tekan when i feel like it, or when i see honda insight.
Lol, I saw a Honda Insight but I was in a jam by that time. Yeah I use Trip A for my tank refills. I dunno about whether I can trust what the cruising range says though, I'm sure I can do more than what it's saying. Probably because I'm not going at high cruising speeds, but it's probably right in its estimates. I have done around 770km's now (on odo) and I have 2 bars left on the fuel gauge.
Ok here is my contribution for mileage challenge (well instead of a 'challenge', think of it as a way to improve your driving skills to get a better mileage by using other users results as a benchmark) for those of you who are in Sabah. It begins at the Shell station off Jalan Kolam. Here is the information:

Google Maps plotted route - Shell station off Jln. Kolam to Karambunai (all the way to the golf club near the parking)Distance:
29.8kmMileage:
30.1km/L <- some of you guys should have no problem beating this
Weather: Dry, not aware of any head winds.
Time: Around 6am, so not much traffic at all.
Additional notes: I forget how long the journey took, probably somewhere like 40-45 minutes to get there, the avg speed was around 44kph but I always try to pulse between 65-75kph. If I am a total miser and use EV lots I'm sure I can pass 30.1km/L but alot of people tend to tailgate me and that pisses me off (yes, this happens when I'm in the slow lane and there are no cars around me and they are free to overtake, what's wrong with these people). There's no way you can even "draft" behind trucks here, you can forget about it, they are slow as shit lol. If there is a car ahead of you that is going slow and still far away (30-50m ahead) you should probably change lanes (if you are confident your current speed is gaining fast enough to overtake) before you need to do any speed adjustments. There is alot of rolling resistance due to the crappy roads, so that will affect mileage too. You can safely cruise with EV once you reach desired speed since most of the roads are flat but there are some with a slight incline so you'll have to figure out how much juice you want the ICE to use. Next time I'll have to write exactly what was written in the Driver info screen for the trip, I'll make sure to do it next time.
I just seen my 2nd Prius C in KK - it was black color and I passed him and he passed me but I don't think he saw me lol cos it was during the jam. I remember his plate number though.
Ok, since I last made this post, those 2 damn bars went down really quickly

and I didn't want to chance it so at 1 beep or two I started heading towards the gas station.
Anyhow here is a breakdown so far of my 1st tank:
752.7km @
24.5km/L (Damn, why did it get crappy near the end lol)
Full tank refill price $
60.10RM @
31.62L @$1.90RM/L [Ron95]
