wow congrats keanutan. Welcome to the club
see the video in 1st page
Think need to go after 10k km to know how our pc behave ^^
wow thanks bro. will join for sure.
wow sure ? Think its pc got alot of torque from more powerful petrol engine and electric engine compare to insight hehe. Wonder why ppl say insight engine is better as its smaller capacity and the electric is for supportand can't run alone like pc
I saw one aqua in klang also today nearby klang aeon bukit tinggi. i crave to see metalic blue now.
Same here too bro. you and i book same blue metalic right. TT.. seem there is no blue metalic yet. TT

Cuz this colleague of mine she drives car very fast one having hard time chasing me uphill. The moment I rev my car, Insight seems to have slower respond to catch up the sudden accelerate.

QUOTE(vey99 @ Jun 3 2012, 11:30 PM)
told ya it was enjoyable hehe
*
Not enjoy la, so damn jam. Only enjoy when going uphill.
But after uphill trip once, now the car looks more smoother in normal road and easily accelerate when I wanted it and it still maintained at eco bar (Eco score display), won't rev til red zone (which is the pwr)
Next up: rev at genting uphill

Actually Audio Player is not that bad as some forumers mentioned. All I can say is the sound is quite decent at least better than my previous Myvi.Hey, does anyone knows how to check my engine's temperature on my PC? Most cars got engine's radiator temp display at dashboard meter.

Went up Cameron with my friends last night
Me driving Prius c this round, cuz if I drive civic I will smoke her car easily. My friend is driving Insight

Both of us pump full before going up, ytd was super jam at top there. But overall Prius C won in terms of FC. Me just back and I left 3 bars after jamming down back to home took 5 hours while Insight need to pump petrol when reached Tg Malim

Going uphill with fully loaded is not a problem! Damn, I can smoke my friend's insight easily and I can smoke cars like Vios, City easily during cruising uphill

Like the engine roaring sound, in fact I press till it roar very fierce! Even the passby cars also stare on my car!

Hahaha

Yea bro. That's what I mentioned before, vios can't even kiss ur arse. Hahaha. I tried them. And proud to have this car now.

Lol, I quite like all the sounds from the regen braking to the engine roar. Instead of looking at it in a negative light, I look at it more like a unique sound no one else has hahaha. Super stealthy jet plane lion. What a mouthful.

Right now I am having a different battle though - the evil water spots! *shakes fist at hard water*. At least it's not bird poop.

shake fist at hard water = me showing my anger at the mineral deposits left behind on paint/window (no, not washing car in sun nor when car is still warm, our water is 'hard water' with alot of minerals) after washing car hehe. Maybe I should get some of this:
ONR No Rinse car wash

Hard water leaves water spots like this on your car:
user posted image

Of course besides water spots there's also swirls to try and avoid. I guess you could just use a hose with no head attached and let the water flow on the car so it doesn't create droplets and just flows off. I seen people use distilled vinegar to remove the water spots on window but I want to avoid that if I can & I am definitely not using steel wool (micro scratches). Another thing I heard is distilled water or filters for car wash (there are even some specific for cars which do certain stuff like de-ionize) which helps to avoid water spots.. Then there is lambswool, microfiber, sheepswool for washing the car, then dry off with a chamois and follow up the little leftovers with microfiber towel. I want a gritguard too. I seen them selling it for $45RM on the duragloss website, but at the moment I am just going to diy my own similar to the egg crate light diffuser idea but I am going to try a few things different to see if I can make a more effective thing to stop water at the bottom of the bucket from being stirred up.

Apart from that I'm just a little angry that Toyota left some unsightly marks on the hood of my car, I wonder if I can complain about that. I don't know what they did to it, it looks like 4-5 palm sized smudges and washing doesn't make a difference, I hope it's not actually some kind of microscratch or something but I think it can be polished and waxed out.

Earlier I said that the DVD-AVN didn't support my Japanese named/tagged font. When I read the manual it does say that it does support specific types of character codes (Pg.16 of manual) depending on what media you use - for example the MP3/WMA player does the file/folder in unicode/ISO8859-1, artist name/id3 tag in ISO8859-1, UNICODE(utf-8) & UNICODE(utf-16), wma tag in UNICODE(utf-8) & UNICODE(utf-16). I have no idea why it wasn't showing up on mine, maybe different encoding on that file I tried.

oh k k. yup. and never put liquid thing near it. my bro in law biggr brother prius got problem when he put 50 cup of starbuck which make the car jolt after the coffee is split to the battery part.

And conclusion is not even toyota technician dare to touch the battery pack and only one person in Malaysia is certified to service it in Malaysia for the battery pack. So be caution always. ^^

Has anyone broken into 1000-1200km range on 1 tank yet? yawn.gif I'm down to 3 bars on fuel gauge left, and I'm at 697km's at the moment with something like 28-30km/L on odo (I will recheck the actual number later).
I wonder what is the most someone has gotten on a full tank.

For anyone in Sabah (or actually anywhere for that matter), can you plot a course that we can follow (using google maps or whatever) and the km/L you got from that trip using trip meter? I think it would be fun to see what everyone gets from taking the same routes. What we could do is something like:

- Destination from Point A -> Point B (as exact as you can, maybe using a gas station or whatever is convenient as a starting point and end point just for the sake of accuracy)
- Weather condition (Hot, rainy, wet road, strong wind, etc)
- Your current tyre pressure front/back
- Whether you were carrying any load/people
- any additional info from Drive info screen (% in EV mode, Avg. Speed, driving time, etc)
- possibly the time of starting your journey just for reference on whether you went at a time when there was heavy traffic or not

In essence it would be like a mileage challenge that users can do for fun whenever they want to gauge their mileage performance and possibly improve on it by using the data from other users as a benchmark.

Is it possible to save/extract my trip log from the DVD-AVN to my SD card for copying to pc so I can let other users copy the trip data to make it easier for them (for those that have it)? Or does the trip log get automatically copied to SD?

@vey99
Lol, yes I've been paranoid about that since day 1, I don't want no fires happening.

As for the gathering, I will be there but in spirit mode tongue.gif (due to geographical constraints).

Speaking of which, is there an option to change from km/L into L/100km? I see the New Zealand MID is displaying in L/100km like here:

BTW, beck_ken how the heck do you keep your black mica free of water spots?

Out of curiosity, I set the air cond temperature to 24. I still got 31.7km/l for a distance of 20km, only slightly poorer than my normal rate of 32-34km/l for my PJ - Shah Alam trip. Outside temperature was 29C this morning.

hmm i wont use short trips to gauge, i gauge by full tank usage. means i pump full.

then i set trip A to 0

after that when the cruising range is about 20km left, i pump full again.

Then i take the KM travelled divide by litres pumped, and compare wif the MID info.

As a result, on a per tank basis i am getting 21.5 km/L thereabouts.

Nowaday i dun care fc, i just tekan when i feel like it, or when i see honda insight.

of cos la, after have a run at Cameron, both of cars run more smoother and gear changing also very smooth. A simple press on the accelerator can easily reach 120km/h

Now I wanted to cruise Genting uphill... should be more smoother after coming from Genting icon_idea.gif
