I heard prius c if u let the engine run and u left the car for a certain distance (together with the smart key in your pockets), I heard the engine will automatically shut down and auto lock is it?

Any owner test that out?

She told me that the car go up to 35-40 km/l.

In the right conditions of road, wind, traffic, average speed... this is indeed correct!
Using the Normal setting plus air-con running requires gentle start up and speed build up to about 90km/h, minimum or gentle braking and coasting to a stop.

Here are some info I found on the hybrid battery...

The battery pack and hybrid system requires NO maintenance until 100,000 miles, when an inverter coolant check (and refill if necessary) is recommended.

And there is a telephone number on the Prius battery pack for you to call to claim a $200 bounty to return that battery for recycling when you junk the car at the end of its service life.

That "toxic batteries in landfills" and "$10,000 to replace the battery" crap you hear from people who know nothing about the Prius is getting REALLY old.

Is there a recycling plan in place for nickel-metal hydride batteries?

Toyota has a comprehensive battery recycling program in place and has been recycling nickel-metal hydride batteries since the RAV4 Electric Vehicle was introduced in 1998. Every part of the battery, from the precious metals to the plastic, plates, steel case and the wiring, is recycled. To ensure that batteries come back to Toyota, each battery has a phone number on it to call for recycling information and dealers are paid a $200 "bounty" for each battery.

Yes, and for the opposite style of rushing, hard acceleration + hard braking, you will be rewarded with 11km/l or lower.

I think most of you here didn't know what is the price for the Prius-C battery cost. Haha. My salesman known for long time, before the launch, he went for training and shown me the price for the battery and I was surprised it was way cheaper than Insight's battery

I have 2 questions wanted to ask:

1. Can we deactivated the seat belt warning? It's very annoying

2. Regarding the seat, can we add something to make it soft? My gf or mom feel it hard

when you remove while the car is running, it wont stop beeping even after the car has stop. kind of forces you to only unbuckle once the car is stop.

i would describe the seat as firm rather than hard. i feel it may be tiring for long drives/commutes esp the back row.

as i know its the big brother Prius battery that is costing RM20K. the C has smaller battery so should be cheaper. however i dont think this is a general issue if not the ori prius would not sell so well until 4th gen liao.

yes, i mean the passenger and driver seats cuz the design is more like a bucket seat...causing back easily get tired. everytime my mom or my gf in my car, they have to put pillow at the back to support their back. Even a short 15 minutes also tiring for them. I am okie with it.

Have you guys installed any door visor ? whistling.gif

I wanted to install door visor and the brake lock cuz now without any lock feel unsecure.

I wish it is 50% depreciation...

Prius 2010 still selling 118K in www.mudah.my, if 50% depreciation, it will be 70K, than I will get the second hand one, really value for money.
