to chrymnd,

you can always buy noise insulator to make to more silent. My sis big prius have it and cost RM100+ forgot actual cost d. After put d, your car is more silent on road noise also.

Thinking of getting noise reduction stuff for my PC as well ^^

May i know is that the Prius C will be slighter more louder when the engine running as compare to the big prius? Because i had tested both model before which is the big prius from my friend as the priority. After i bought the PC, im had found the PC lesser silent as compare to the brother of prius. Is that true?

When engine is in high rpm, it is quite loud, but most of the time it is pretty quiet. actually I feel the tire noise is even annoying, my tire noise is pretty loud, especially on the bad condition road, sometimes I even can feel tire rotating like washing machine cry.gif sad.gif

Yes, PC engine famous of its irritating noise when rev. You will notice when you try to accelerate & climbing hill.
At first I though my engine got problem, but after reading the post & review, gonna accept it.

But in low rpm & smooth ride, it won't really notice the engine sound. Guess the engine design for low rpm & super fuel efficient.

Anyway, no worry when you really accelerating, you also telling others you coming fast thumbup.gif

Traveled from Shah Alam to Melaka yesterday. Cruise control set at 105km/hr. FC rate was 24km/l. Coming back from Melaka today, and CC set at 90km/hr. FC rate was much better, @ 29.4km/hr. The speed was lower for the last 6-10km due to the high traffic volume which increased the FC rate from 28.6 to 29.4. However, for the first 6-10km, there were many traffic lights in Melaka, so the FC rate was poor initially, @ 15km/l. It gradually increased to 28.6km/l So, on average it should be around 29km/l. Temperature outside was 31-33oC.

Mine looks / sounds ok so far after fixing, except for the back, which to me is not serious because sometimes there sometimes not. Quite difficult to complain

If only back bumper done, wudn't the car look "back heavy" from the side view?
*
The back of PC looks slightly higher. That's why I installed the TRD bumper to lower the back.Even from the side view, the back doesn't look as heavy as everyone thought. As a matter of fact,it looks more sportier.

sir i rly rly dunno how u get such FC figures. the best i ever had over a 30+ km run was 26.4km/l and that also i was extremely light footed and let the car glide a lot.

when i put CC on at 90 for 30 km trips even, i would get only 22~ km/L nia.

if got chance, maybe can show us how u drive...

Vey, may be you have to follow me in my car to Melaka 1 day. smile.gif I did not do anything special.

I have not tried auto cruise for a moderate distance like 30km. It is better to miximise EV + glide mode to get a better FC rate. This is what I got for this morning trip from Kota Damansara to Shah Alam Section 23 via NKVE + Federal Expressway. >50% EV.

I also observed that if the battery power level is at the minimum, which is normally the case for me because my residential area has many road humps, it is better to come out from residential area using EV mode and then accelerate from to 70km/hr in a "moderately" short time to get a high Ecoscore, assuming Ecoscore is an indication of FC. Eco indicator at around 5mm-10mm before the PWR. This is to avoid the petrol engine running at a low speed & charging the battery which consumes a lot of petrol. The 'start" ecoscore will appear first followed by "cruise". Of cause if we can run at EV mode up to 70km/hr, it will be better. So, I think light-footed may not be good for FC rate.

Bro you are the best among us in FC. Your technique make sense, I use to light-footer but still can't get very good FC, just can't wait to try your technique.

Of course road & traffic condition are the one which affect the FC most.

i suspect also being light footed at low speeds is not helping also, and may be worse FC. i struggle to get > 30% EV usage.
i will try out the moderate acceleration and also avoid low speed petrol engine running and charging. i thin k the idea is to get very high ev usage like urs to achieve superb fc. 30+ km/l is extremely good for normal daily commutes.
