I used this to compare but it's comparing based on specs rather thanreal time perfomance. Will go through your links.
Btw, is Asrock reliable? Their support and build quality. How about msi?

Google for 3770K vs 3570K then i'm pretty sure that you will get some lights.

Nowadays, ASRock is one of the most popular mobo manufacturers, on par with Asus, Gigabyte, MSI etc. They even hire the world's well-known overclocking Master, Nick Shih as Product Manager which shows their support towards overclocking products.

MSI boards are good, but lately their mobo becomes less popular than other competitors and it is placed behind ASRock in the market. But recently MSI announced that they will release the flagship Dragon series mobo lineup to fight against Asus' ROG series etc. looks promising but i hope they are serious on this challenge.

BIOS is the driver for overclocking. I'd say Asus and ASRock have their winning points on this. Their BIOS supports are awesome.

extreme 4 not enough?

This more penny you pay, the more features and the better board you get.

The ASRock OC Formula, if you could afford is their best overclocking flaship mobo. It performs even BETTER than any Asus ROG series mobo at BETTER price. I foresee their upcoming Z87 platform will continue to shine in the overclocking world.

Haswell is still under ramp up process in Intel warehouse here. Still long way to wait and no confirmed launch date is given yet. They could always delay it. sad.gif

So my Z77 is almost 1 year old now. Still serving me well lol.

Thou my board doesn't have offset mode, but I'm happy with this solid board. I might go for 4.6 or 4.7GHZ in the future...So, add me in too. Thanks smile.gif

With the current temps i think your cooling still allows higher clock.

I will add you into the list once i am convenient.
Good luck!

About the speed/gflops, what does it use for? I find IBT/Linx saves more time in determining the CPU OC stability than prime 95. With stable OCed CPU, RAM could be overclocked too right?

Older version of LinX/IBT will give lower GFlops (lower than 100) which is not that accurate for Ivy. Latest version which has AVX instruction will produce > 100 GFlops. Just make sure that you are using Win7 SP1 or newer.

On the other hand, Prime95 needs longer time at least 3 hours. It needs more vCore but produces less heat (lower temps) than LinX/IBT.

Both are good for stability test. No one is better.

Why? Mind to share more details with us?
Is it too hot for your current cooler?

I never tried win8 but since it supports AVX instruction so I think there is no compatibility issues.

There are several guides on mem OC in Post #1 so you might wanna have a read up. The most important thing is your RAM must be able to OC. If a stubborn RAM cant OC you push it how much also will disappoint you. A CPU that has a strong integrated mem controller IMC will make mem overclocking easier.

Can I just change the ram speed and ram voltage with auto timings?

It depends on how inteligent is your BIOS and ability of RAM and how strong is your IMC. A good reading on reviews and spend some times on googling will help you.
Good luck!
