Let the subtimings set to auto.

when i do burnInTest the core #0 to #3 reaches almost 100C. its that safe? How to reduce the heat? by lower the VCore or multiplier?

On stress test as long as it's below TJMax 105C then you should be fine because in daily routine works you will not hit this kind of temp.

There are several ways to reduce the heat/temp:
Upgrade to a better air cooler/fans or watercooling etc if got budget
Reapply a better thermal paste
decrease vCore
decrease CPU PLL voltage
Buy a case with better airflow
If you dont mind to void Intel warranty, delid the internal heat spreader (IHS)
Etc....

An interesting post about the culprit behind the overheating issues of Ivy

user posted image

QUOTE
Compare all the "a" cases to the "b" cases, the only functional differences in these two test conditions is the CPU TIM. Notice that the Intel stock CPU TIM outperforms the NT-H1 replacement TIM once the CPU-to-IHS gap is identical

(all the "b" cases are ~2-3°C warmer than the "a" cases)

And if we remove the paper shim and drop that IHS down onto the CPU (not perfectly zero of course, there is still some NT-H1 CPU TIM there after all) reducing the gap to as close to zero as possible then we get the "c" cases...and the temperatures show the expected fantastic drops we have all come to expect from delidding our Ivy Bridge chips.

Conclusion: The Intel stock CPU TIM is not the reason Ivy Bridge's run hot, and replacing the Intel stock CPU TIM is not the reason a delidded Ivy Bridge runs so much cooler - the benefits of delidding are entirely due to the resultant reduction in gap height between the CPU silicon die and the underside of the IHS.

the black adhesive glue is too thick making the gap between the die and IHS wider than it should be.

Hi owikh84, the unit is normal for daily usage, not done any stress test atm. Already decrease the vCore to 3.9, just brought the CPU air cooler recently, no plan to replace it so fast, guess i need to replace the 120mm fan in the CPU cooler and another better case fan as well. Any recommended brand for PWM 120mm fan 2000rpm max yet low db for CPU and case fan (120mm also)?

i hope that it's a typo.

This fan might fulfil your needs:
Nexus PWM Series D12SL-12PWM 120mm

120mm
500 ~ 2000 RPM (±10%) Up to 76 CFM
15.5 dBA ~ 26,9 dBA

Not sure if it's available locally but you can always order from newegg MY.

can check out NB Multiframes. They have a PWM version which hits 2k rpm, I think. APES has them locally.

Try adding vCore.
Run LinX/IBT/prime95 to ensure 24/7 stability.

Question for you guys here. If I were to OC my cpu and have a dual boot win 7 and osx machine, is it possible?
*
I might be too late to answer this but it is possible. I'm at 4.6GHz and still able to have dual boot Win 7 and ML.

Delided my 3770K and here is a 13 hours Prime95 stable 4.9GHz run. smile.gif

Nicely done bro rclxms.gif
Your temps still allow higher OC, possibly 5.0GHz.

I was about to do a 5GHz run, but I need 1.48-1.50V or more to get it stable which is too high in my point of view. tongue.gif

Anyway, I'm sure I'll do it eventually. brows.gif
