Just set up my system also
3770k, maximus 5 gene with hyper 212 push pull artic f12. On stock getting 32c temp. Quite good I think. Will try clock it higher n strees this weekeend

For 24/7 usage, do you u guys turn off the Intel speed step? Or leave just leave it on to save power?

yes using single stick only at the moment, is it causing the gflops to drop also ? lol, still deciding on the ram. maybe going for trident x

trying to stay 4.5Ghz @ 1.3v for 24/7 use with EIST on. Run prime 95 large FFT coded with AVX for 8 hours. Linx 20 run. Max 80c recorded with 212 EVO

Kevin, just a question, using prime 95 coded with AVX ; when i run the small FTT torture, it produces a lot more heat then Linx lol. 1.3v my temp already reach 94c on about 15min only!

But when i torture on blend test, max 80c only for 8 hours as in the picture for my last post.

Is it normal? why the small ftt encoded with AVX stress the hell out of the CPU. even LinX for 20 run i only hit 85c~88c

Yes, some i see even they get 130+ Gflops. How bout u sitting in ur team ram @ 2400/2666mhz? how many Gflops do u get?

ur chip need 1.19/1.2v only to stable at 4.5 Ghz? Btw what LLC level u use ?
Mine 1.25v @ 4.5Ghz pass 20 run Linx , blend test prime95 AVX
but fail prime95 AVX small fft. not stable i guess

Mine is LLC high as well, should i worry bout degrading chip if LLC high set for 24/7 usage?

My 1.27v @ 4.5Ghz always fail to stress 12 hour prime95 + AVX

HuzzLEE try increase ur Vcore and run it again
1.2 is quite low for 4.5ghz unless u got a nice chip

Yup, u can even get it run on 1.6v
No probs with the vdimm

Any of u guys using Dominator GT 1866Mhz 8Gb Kit ? model number is cmt8gx3m2a1866c9. Kevin have u try them?

I've been googling up and found out many maximus 5 gene cant detect the ram. any of u experience it? still thinking to grab those Dom GT's or try to find samsung chips stick

rev 8.xx should be Nanya IC if im not mistaken right? so better off getting the tridentX i think with samsung IC?
